Pretty but Impractical
This edition is not very user-friendly. I had to break the spine to get it to stay on the music stand. Otherwise ok if you like monotonous music which is quite atmospheric and not difficult, but boring.

Wonderful album to play
Great album and nice to be able to play along with this sheet music. Only thing is the directions are in French rather than Latin, but that’s not massively uncommon in the world of music and easily gotten around with a translator.

Whimsical and evocative of the sea.
I adore this collection. Tiersen writes in his unique minimalist style, beloved of the Amelie soundtrack fans. Whimsical and distinctly Gallic....This album of piano music evokes the sea, and the windswept islands off the Breton coast... which I also adore. As a piano teacher, I bought this with students in mind, and have been captivated as I learn the pieces myself. Pattern music, yes, but also with enough melodic interest to keep me intrigued. Some pieces are in harder keys, but many are accessible; and just demanding enough to stretch an able student at about grade 4 level. The trickier ones would suit more advanced players. I highly recommend this collection.

Nicely produced book of the music
Nicely produced book of the music. Personally I thought it was expensive but it does contain the musical notation and as it was a "wanted" gift I can't complain!
