BillinghamSP40 Leather Shoulder Pad - Chocolate

Got this for my Billingham Pro 2020 camera bag - itself no cheap item, but beautifully made. Having choked down the feeling of being slightly conned and buying this item I was actually rather surprised when it arrived; MUCH more robust than somehow I'd expected, and can't deny it's beautifully made.So, OK, I've had my moan, but it works well, it's comfortable, it looks good, and it will, I'm sure, outlast me. If I could outlast it for the princely sum of £35 I'd be well chuffed. And you know something? Once in a while it's just plain satisfying to give in and pay over the odds for something so oozing "quality". Somehow, though, I think I must have forgotten to tell 'er Indoors what it cost :-).............. "sixpence-ha'penny on a well known auction site, luv. From China......... y'know. "

It helps spread the load on my hadley pro quite nicely. Don't forget the physics of this though, and expect a shoulder pad- ANY shoulder pad- to make your bag feel half as heavy etc. Of course, it won't. This pad does a few things. It stops the strap from binding on your clothes but grips nicely so helps stop your bag from slipping. It takes some of the bite off your neck and shoulder area. Ive been lugging billingham bags all over the world throughout my career and guess what? the only way to make them feel less heavy is to A - CARRY LESS STUFF or B - MAN UP! this pad makes your life easier and for me its worth the money but it won't stop your neck from aching it'll just make things a bit better. Should you get one? Yes. It does help. Just don't expect miracles just expect a beautifully made leather and foam pad. This one by the way is better than the older version to me. Its comfier and grips better. My last one managed ten years though! If you get shoulder ache with your bag just buy it. Cheers folks!

This seems a very pricey addition to your Billingham bag but once you get hold of it you can see where the money goes. It's a very solid, well made shoulder pad that is quite substantial (without being bulky). I bought one for my Hadley Pro and a) it definitely improves the overall look and b) it's very comfortable and has transformed the bag when carrying all my kit around. It fits snugly and securely into the webbing strap and is unlikely to detach. I would definitely recommend it. The only shame is that they don't supply one as standard on the bags which they should for what you are paying for the bags!

A quality product that succeeds in making bag more comfortable and stops it slipping off the shoulder but I can't help thinking that it should have come as standard with the bag and not as an expensive optional extra when it is needed to make the bag really efficient.Still, if you insist in having one of the best camera bag going in terms of weight, appearance and quality it doesn't come cheap.

I bought the SP40 along with the Billingham Hadley Small Pro. It’s really well made and easy to attach and remove.The underside of the pad is really well designed as it has 4 grooves in the padding so that it doesn’t bunch up when curved around your shoulder. Worth the extra money for the extra comfort.

The shoulder pad provides a significant amount of extra cushioning compared to the original strap on Billingham bags. In fact, if carrying a heavy DSLR/lens combination around for any length of time, I would say the shoulder pad is a necessary accessory. With that said, it really ought to come as standard on the bags, especially given that Billingham bags are high quality and command a price that reflects this.

Over priced for what it is. Not really sure if it adds comfort to carrying gadget bag or notProbly worth around £20 not £35

This is a very high quality product a little pricey An excellent buy comfortable on my Hadley bag shoulder strsp & really good quality.

It's excellent. Cruelly expensive, somehow worth it. Super comfortable, well made. Buy it when you buy the bag, don't separate the purchase, make it one big painful expense. Check my review of the bag (Hadley Pro 2020) if you'd like.

La descrizione era contradditoria (chiaro o tan) per cui avevo annullato l'ordine.Per fortuna, troppo tardi e l'articolo mi è arrivato.E' uno spallaccio tan (vecchio colore adottato da Billingham e sostituito dal cioccolato).E' bello, anche di più e, comunque, perfettamente abbinabile con il nuovo.

Cette "épaulette" n’est pas donnée, mais elle est véritablement nécessaire.Le sac ne glisse pas et reste bien positionné sur l’épaule.
