It works, but it’s not great. Lacks some basic refinements such as a reliable sealing element, as well as an accurate cutter. Good unit if you are on a tight budget though.

I had a food vacuum sealer when they first started developing this technology, and this one is about half the price with triple the efficiency. I'm lazy and will often not use things to better organize my life because it takes effort... but with this one, I just leave it on my counter and it's simply so easy to quickly use that I actually used it.It holds the bag roll inside the machine. I can cut my own bags to the exact dimensions I need, and immediately vacuum seal it. It has made meal prepping so much easier, as well as organizing my freezer. Cut up veggies and seal them up! Using this machine will change your life--and this one specifically meets all the needs to changing your lifestyle. I love it so much, and it has been working absolutely flawlessly.I will say that the manual's directions seemed overwhelming, but it is as simplified as it gets. Learning how to vacuum seal your food is difficult in general. It's a complex topic and the seemingly overwhelming manual is as simplified as it gets. There aren't any pointless mechanisms built into this vacuum sealer, which is a great plus to me. The options are simple as well, and still lets you be versatile with what you vacuum seal up.Highly recommend this vacuum sealer. The seller genuinely seems to care for the function of their machine, and it truly works perfectly. I will leave further updates on my review, but so far, flawless.Update: Still working great! Even better actually! There is indeed a learning curve, but it is so worth it. I had trouble a couple times using the automatic vacuum and seal function, but learned to use the manual one to perfectly vacuum seal the difficult foods!

It is simple to use, easy to store and acceptable for the price but....1) the cutter does not work very well; you have to hold everything just right for it to work2) closing the product must be done assertively to get it to seal properly.

This vacuum food storage machine is a great replacement upgrade or gift for someone who's never used them. We've had our old one over 15 years now. It still works, and so we got this one to replace our old that we gave it to someone who wasn't sure if they wanted to invest in one. The suction on this is even better. It has a metallic surface which cleans easier and doesn't stain like white plastic. That also makes it more durable. The 2 sizes of bags are a great start too. Best of all is that the sealing component isn't shoved deep into the machine, which just wastes material so they can sell you more bags. You're going to buy more bags if you use it more often, and you'll use it more if it doesn't feel wasteful. This machine gets that mechanic.

I bought this and had no reason to use it until now so the return window is closed. It is under warranty (I just bought it in January - 5 year warranty). The cutting wire is twisted and it melts the bags instead of sealing. I have emailed Customer Service twice and the book says to allow 8 hours for an answer. It’s been 7 days and no response. At this point it’s worthless.

I’m thinking this is a get what you pay for kind of situation. It’s been working fine for the most part. The sealing doesn’t always go all the way through and sometimes I think the suction could have been better, but it’s fine. Getting the job done, just with a few wasted bags and extra attempts sometimes.
