Airpod Skins Protective Wraps – Minimal Stylish Covers for Customization & Protection, Compatible with Apple AirPods (Matte Black)

Top line: High-priced, easy-to-install sticker that (mostly) hides the Apple white, with a few visual blemishesGood: Fairly easy, straightforward installation. Fits inside the OEM charger case without issue. You receive two sets of decals in case your fail application of the first (or for when they wear out).Bad: Fully installed appearance is just OKAY--there's still a fair amount of white showing, even when in ear (see pics). Also, there are a lot of seams and potential bubbles (depending on how careful you are) that do not show up in the marketing materials; I notice they focus on the inner facing portion of the pod, without showing much of the exterior (which looks less appealing, imo). The best example are the slits just below the ear piece wraps--these are only visible when you view the actual product (see my pics). Upon first inspecting the sticker I thought, "These would be much nicer and tougher if the stickers were vinyl." Turns out that the OEM says they *are* vinyl, but I was expecting something more along the lines of vinyl decals / gaffers tape. They are awfully thin and I'm concerned about wear and tear (maybe this is why they send a second set). For $15, I expected more.Other: This product is strictly cosmetic. It has no magical properties as far as I can tell. It does not increase the "grip" of the pod to keep it in your ear or make it easier to handle, it does not protect the pod from long falls (though it may prevent surface scratches), it does not make the pods waterproof.

I was so excited to get my Apple buds....Until I walked past a mirror with both in. I was thinking wow I look like a dork. Therefore would only wear one when in public. I tried electrical tape but made them look SO tacky- next step was amazon... I looked at multiple brands and read reviews. Some talked about videos being sent to them, air bubbles, difficulty, cheap, stickers blah blah.. I almost hesitated. I was happy these did not have a video to watch lol.They arrived next day, nicely packaged inside a protective card with 6 simple and clear instructions! (Oh and comes with two sets). Yes they are just stickers, yes you can cut your own out of whatever... You’d spend $5, a bit of your time, and they’d look like you DIY’d them. Or you can spend $10 to receive precision cut, at your door, on in 2 minutes stickers to make your $219 ear buds look professional.Seriously, I had the first one on in LESS than a minute- FLAWLESSLY I might add.The pics are at the half way so that you can see the difference.Great purchase! Highly recommend!

Very easy to install and my AirPods look great. I like the color, being a Siberian husky parent, they fit very well. Into the whole black/white scheme. Just like my pups. So its a win win for me.As for the skins themselves, they were really easy to apply and they do fit close enough so that my AirPods can still fit in the charging case with no problems. I like them and would easily recommend them to anyone looking to add a little color, or even trying to tone down the white color, in some cases.Edit:I removed a couple stars from my rating due to 2 things. one I know for a fact was the skin. The black color started coming off and I was slowly getting black coloring on the inside of my AirPod charging case. It was easy to remove but not anticipated at all.The second was that I placed the skin on and must have misaligned it somewhat as I had issues getting one AirPod to connect. The sensor in the unit never indicated I had place it in my ear. I removed the skin and boom the AirPod went back to working and now properly registers when I place it in my ear.I thought I had been fastidious when placing the skin but Oh well. I will try again I am hesitant though as the color bleeding issue. Don't get me wrong it was easy to remove, more of like a smear on the plastic. But still unexpected.

So, I read some of the reviews on these and i agree with most of them, both good and bad. But i still think overall these are a good add for the Airpods. I always hated taking photos and looking back to see the white tips sticking out of my ears. Sometimes ruined the photo. The Airpods are so comfy as they are i would forget to take them out.This scenario greatly improved now.Yes, they are just stickers. I also thought they would be actual sleeves you slide the onto the Airpods, but quickly realized they wouldn't fit into the charging pod with the added thickness of a sleeve.Although these are in fact "stickers" and not sleeves, they are cut perfectly. It took me a total of 2 mins to install both stickers. Just pay close attention to how these are supposed to line up and you wont have to keep peeling them back off and weakening the adhesive. If you have shaky hands, you may want to get some help...Hope this helps someone.

Happy to see that these skins are very thin and don't interfere with charging or reception. That was my main concern. Love my AirPods but I hate the fact that they look like huge white earings so much that I tried to make my own skins as soon as Ingot them in my hands, using vinil and regular stickers from the dollar store but all the materials I used caused problems in and out of the case.This product works great. Now the question is how long will they stay in place?.Can't wait for Apple to come up with new Airpods in diferrent colors. In the meantime this is the best solution I found.The price is too high for a pair of tiny stickers but I'm sure Apple would charge a lot more for genuine skins.

The skins are nice and for the most part easy to put on. But what I’m most impressed with is their Customer Service I give the skins a 4 star but Customer Service a 5 Star. My husband ordered me these skins for Christmas as a stocking stuff. Of course he ordered a color that I personally would not have chosen. I also noticed that the price my husband paid had decreased by couple dollars right after the holidays. The exchange for the color of my choice was fast easy and they also refunded the difference in price. Now at the Gym I no longer have the typical white Airpods everyone else has.Update*** i’d like to change my star rating for the actual skins from a 4 to a 5. The fact that there is a 100% lifetime guarantee definitely qualifies for a 5+ Star, but also the fact that I’ve been using them for the past month and they show no signs of peeling off!!!! I highly recommend this item. It gives your AirPods a little color.

I loved the idea of these skins. It breaks up the signature monotony of the white AirPods and gives them some personality. I failed on the first attempt, but luckily they included two. The left one went on fine at tfirst but something was off with the right and it would stick in the case and also not charge. I took them off and almost gave up. Then I thought why not try again. So the second application was better, in that they both charged, but the right was still a little sticky in the charging case. I also didn’t align the stall area perfectly which bothers my perfectionist mind....but they are great! I will definitely change up the colors and designs going forward and I’m sure my application techniques will only improve. Watch a video and study the application instructions, do it in a well lit room and don’t be afraid to peel and retry. It’s worth it and a good price for two sets if you do get the first to work👍

I love my AirPods, but have discovered they're easily lost when dropped.So, I bought some red wraps, and they're now far more visible when one skitters among papers on my office desk. These stickers are easier to apply than I was expecting (what can I say, I've got thick fingers!), and you even get two sets if you mess one up. They appear to be durable; I'll update this rating after I've put some mileage on them.I'm just docking these one star for the color -- the red in the listing is a bright, cherry / candy apple red. But the red wraps are actually a more-subdued brick red. Nice, but not what I was really hoping for.
