Waterproof and comfy

These boots have just been delivered, so I can’t honestly comment on how they’ll perform in the wet, but they certainly look like they should be waterproof. The thing that’s really impressed me is the level of comfort and support. I’m always very anxious about ordering footwear online and I’ve made some very expensive mistakes with walking boots in particular. I have very high arches and have developed plantar fasciitis over the last 18 months, so finding shoes and boots for day to day activities including walking the dogs twice a day has been a nightmare. These boots already feel so comfortable and I’ve been walking around the house in them for a couple of hours with no problems, which is unheard of with new shoes for me. They certainly compare very favourably to the walking boots I’ve bought for £100’s previously that I’ve had to give away. Fingers crossed they’ll pass the outdoors tests. I’ll come back and review further……So, a couple of days in of thoroughly foul weather and these boots have not disappointed. They’re definitely waterproof; walking through long, soaking wet grass and then being caught in a deluge and walking over very uneven ground in our local forest for well over an hour and then on the South Downs, these remain comfortable, with no pinching or blisters, my feet have been perfectly dry & as pain free as they’ll ever be nowadays. All in all, they’re so good I’ve ordered a couple more pairs of Jack Walker boots (one more of these and another style) for the future in the Black Friday sale, as they’re another 10 quid off!

Solid boots, very comfortable, look more expensive than they are. Early days, but very happy with them. Similar price tag boots have quickly fallen to bits, so I guess I'll have to provide an update after 6mo/1yr

Nice and comfortable, most important it's British made and not Chinese.

I have been wearing size 9 shoes and boots since my teens and I am 60+ now. I have never had issues with show sizing before, but, these were just far too small and felt very tight. My toes also pushed up against the from of the boot making them very uncomfortable. The boots looked great, but, sizing is not standard.Also, I have now tried to return these but Royal Mail have failed so far to successfully collect. First time, the postman arrived with no label, despite me selecting a label to be brought. I had to rebook for the next day, but, no-one turned up to collect, so I had to rebook yet again! Third attempt, again no label, despite having selected the option and having an email confirming I did not need to print a label. I am now trying again for the fourth time!! Fingers crossed!

Bought these as a spare pair of boots and tried them out on a short but muddy walk up the Skirrid in South Wales. Very comfortable and provided plenty of support. Quite light but gripped well. Rinsed mud off in a small stream and they were certainly waterproof. My only gripe was that the end of one of the laces was snapped off when I removed them from the box.

These are really good for the price. They soften a lot after a few weeks use and ought to be a little stiffer. They really are waterproof after several month's wear
