While expensive, it is the BEST magnesium for cognition and sleep!
In a 2010 publication in the journal Neuron, scientists from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) reported their discovery of a magnesium compound called magnesium L-threonate (Magtein®) that can effectively deliver magnesium to brain cells. According to the study, magnesium L-threonate (Magtein®) has greater bioavailability than other magnesium supplements. Indeed, compared to other magnesium sources, such as chloride, citrate, glycinate and gluconate, magnesium L-threonate (Magtein®) demonstrated higher absorption and retention. In addition, magnesium L-threonate (Magtein®) significantly elevated magnesium concentrations (7% to 15% of the initial value in 24 days) in cerebrospinal fluid in rats when administered orally, while other magnesium compounds could not. The increased brain levels are most likely due to the increased absorption and higher circulating magnesium levels. In humans, L-threonic acid is an ascorbic acid metabolite, having been identified in plasma, the aqueous humour, the urine, and the brain. In addition to its endogenous occurrence, L-threonic acid can be found in various foods, such as canned mushrooms, fruit juice and processed meats, as a significant part of vitamin C metabolites.My fragmented sleep led me to do in-depth research on amino acids and other elements that could support rest. I started taking L-threonate last year and take two capsules nightly an hour before sleeping. I tried other Magnesium compounds; however, this is my favourite for sleep and cognitive support. Albeit expensive, this form of magnesium has proven extraordinary for my needs, and I would not change it as part of my evening routine.

It works but it is way overpriced.
The supplement works, and I've been using it before each road biking training. I am normally quite prone to cramping, but I did not have any cramps after taking the pills, so I assume that it works well. I think however that this supplement is way overpriced as I did not really find it to be much better than much cheaper magnesium supplements from alternative producers.

Very Good
I use Mg every day to help relax the heart muscles and for sleep. If one studies the importance of Mg, one soon comes to realise the importance of this incredible supplement for the Heart, Blood Pressure, and 321 different functions of the body. It also works with Vitamin D to help it metabolise. The problem many people have with Mg is that it can upset the stomach and does not absorb well, especially if it is in the Oxide form. I have tried so many different formulations but discovered Glycinate as being the very best.This formulation uses L-Threonate which is brilliant for absorption, muscle relaxation and neuropathy nerve damage, but works without having a laxative effect. In fact, this form of Mg does not have any laxative effect, so it could be used by some IBS sufferers. So this is a great product for anyone without stomach issues. I take three tablets a day and they work very well.If your stomach cannot take Citrate, this is a good product and is one I am happy to recommend.

One of my preferred forms of magnesium - there are differences.
Firstly, just loses a star for expense here. Nearly £35 for what could be a month's supply (depending how many you take) is expensive for magnesium, however the company do seem to go to great effort on their safety so it's to a degree understandable. Threonate I have found to be a bit more expensive that other magnesium forms in general, and they are not all created equal and function in the body in different ways.Threonate is a synthesised form of magnesium, it's a very interesting form of magnesium that if I believe (please do your own research, always) crosses the blood/brain barrier easier than other forms. Magnesium is a bit more complicated that people might realise in terms of the different forms, and how they're created and bound.I strongly recommend you do spend some time researching good quality websites where you can gain a thorough understanding of what might help you and why - or why it might be best to avoid.This certainly seems a good Threonate supplement and if they could just slightly address that cost issue it would be five stars.If you only take one a day though, for three month's supply, that's not too bad but you'll obviously be getting less.Four stars.⭐⭐⭐⭐👍

Great Quality Magnesium Capsules
I have read that Magnesium Threonate is the one that is absorbed best into the body so these seem like the ideal version to take to get the best results. These have 750mg of magnesium per capsule, and there are 90 capsules included. It says to take 2/3 a day so this is a months worth if you take 3 a day.I'm hoping after a couple of months there will be a gradual increase of magnesium in my body and I will start to see the positive effects. Magnesium has so many health benefits, eg. for muscles, bones, cognitive benefits, nervous system and blood sugar levels, that I'd recommend taking them to anyone.Despite being fairly large capsules (as most magnesium tends to be) I didn't have any problem swallowing them at all.These capsules have a good dose, comply with British Quality Standards, are vegan friendly and all the packaging is 100% biodegradable. I was happy to see that they're made carefully by a trusted British company and I like the look of their ethics.This all makes it an all round good choice for me.
