Don't try to peel off the clear plastic 'adhesive backing'!
Yep, I also wrecked them by assuming that the tab sticking out of the side with Chinese writing on it was telling me to peel it off before sticking to the mirror, despite the description talking about an 'Octopus' sucker, super kung fu vacuum grip. The chromed plastic bezel ring screws onto the mirror back and when pushing firmly on the mirror glass with your thumb, butts up against the glass when twisted at which point it begins to create suction by pulling the mirror's swivel mount centre away from the glass, sealed as it is by the clear plastic flappy bit that I tore off, expecting it to reveal the adhesive that it was stuck on with.I shall fix them by using either Loctite rear view mirror mount adhesive, (for new windscreens), or 3M type, high strength double sided tape.In principle, they are well made and probably work very well as long as the glass is completely clean and the plastic backing cup is also clean. For flat surfaces only, though a slight curvature of no more than a 1-2mm projection per 50mm would work.

Poor!
These look good on picture, but in person are cheap, tacky plastic. They fell apart as soon as I opened them. Tried peeling sticky part and all fell through. Chucked in the bin, not even worth the return

Brilliant - once you get them to stick
These work brilliantly and can be adjusted to cover all areas. You can, for example, angle them down so you can see at a glance how far away from the kerb your rear wheel is when parallel parking. But what a palava getting them fixed. Even at their modest price, I’ve knocked off a star for the time it took me to get the suction action to work. I’d nearly given up and was beginning to fear I'd damage my wing mirror as the frustration grew, but eventually they stuck.Hoping they will stay in place is probably more wish than expectation. On the one hand they are exceptionally light, which might help. On the other, temperature changes or bumpy roads might prove their undoing. If they remain, I shall be delighted for the excellent improvement they give to rear vision. If they fall off, I shan’t bother going back to pick them up.

Works well
I orders these as they use suction rather than a sticky pad, the suction does work well and they are still attached after a month. What I found tricky was when you need to re-position, it wasn't quite as quick or as easy as the first time. They work well and it the quality is very good the viewing angels help when reversing
