Left, right or whatever.
I have used many reels and poles over so many decades. Mostly I have enjoyed using spinning reels. You know hold pole in right hand and crank with the left hand. Spinning reels the crank can be switched to the right or left hand. Open-faced/bait-casters have always been cast in your right hand then switch it to your left hand to crank it. The crank can not be switched. Don't know how long they have been making left handed bait-casters but they are really for us right handed folks. I don't have to be ambidextrous to fish anymore.

Amazing
The media could not be loaded. Can't believe the value. Works great. I don't understand how it's so inexpensive. The only con is the brakes aren't numbered but that is a trivial issue for me.

They are great for the money!
I've honestly seen worse, from much more expensive reels. I've had a ton of bait casters through out the years. These ones rank as some of the very best at their price point. I have reels that cost 3x or more than these that perform, honestly the same as these. Good enough is good enough and these are quality reels. I have bought 3 over the past several months and they're all fantastic. FYI bait casters take some skill to use,so don't get frustrated with this or any other baitcaster. A side note I ordered some other baitcaster from a popular company here on Amazon, those were also good, however these were better quality, notably better quality. If you're considering . sougayilang and cast king are typically in this price range of which I ordered one each of those ..I bought 2 more of the Tempo's...they're more refined than the other comparable reels.

Brakes leave no rom for adjustments
Just rec’d 7.3 LH reel. Build looks great, all bearings and covers look nice.Oiled bearings with my oil and spooled up with Berkley 15# mono for initial tests on the water.I will update this soon after reel world testing. At $27 for this reel, I am anxious to see how it performs against my more expensive reels (Lews and Abu Garcia).Update: although it can cast a mile....with just a 5" Senko worm, the magnetic brakes have to be turned up all the way which doesn't make room for much adjustment. Returned.

This is a RIGHT HANDED reel
Right handed reels have the crank on the right side. They can be problematic for right handers that expect to cast with their dominant hand and crank with their left. I thought from the photo included by the seller that this would be a left handed reel (photo w RED x). Some reels can be converted to left hand which is not the case here.It feels solid. It will go back because it's not as it was advertised, does not suit my needs. No manual in the box. No description of how to use the spool drag, magnetic drag or star drag. The product packaging lists spool capacity for only 12lb line for 3 different model numbers. None of the model numbers in the table match the box label either.I was expecting the crank to be on the left as per the photo. It's going back.

Great reel for everyday use
Perfect size to fish all day with. The drag is strong enough to handle the big ones. Company really stands behind their product and takes care of their customers.

Very impressed by the reel and customer service.
I purchased this reel because a friend recommended it. Unfortunately when I was putting line on it, the line guide stopped working correctly. I contacted Tempo directly and they shipped out a replacement very quickly. I have taken out this reel two times and it casts as well (if not better) than reels I own that cost over four times as much. Definitely will be sharing this information with fellow friends and family as well.

Great for left-handed, handicapped
I have carpal tunnel syndrome so I need a reel that is lightweight and this one weighs very little. It was easy to attach to my bamboo rod and is the perfect reel for a left-hander like me. The EVA handle knob isdesigned to provide a comfortable ergonomic grip and reduces hand fatigue. With my carpal tunnel issues my hand and fingers get numb rather quickly so I appreciate this feature the most. Also l like the smooth line lead out even with rather feisty fish. It's also quite beautiful.
