Small and portable for continuous monitoring in different areas.
I have been on the lookout for one of these Air Quality Monitors for some time. I decided to purchase this one as the price was reasonable. Upon opening the box it came with a useful user guide and a standard USB-A to micro USB lead. The lead plugs into this and a USB 5V charger or powerbank and the battery indicator will flash red when charging is needed and flash green when charging, but stay on continuously when fully charged. No setting up needed, push and hold the button at the back and the monitor will come on. I now live in a Lincolnshire country village and the monitor displayed between 0 and 4 an excellent reading. On the way to a friend's bungalow, in the car the display increased rapidly from around 4 to 14 as we passed through an area where you could smell something was burning and it entered into the car even with the windows shut. It would have been interesting to see how high this went, close up to the fire. Apparently the green PM2.5 indicator changes and flashes red when the level exceeds 100ug/m3. Our friends log burner only increased to a maximum figure in the room of 8, so still a low acceptable level. It will be interesting to compare figures so I will give an update of this in different polluted areas, but for now this looks a useful way to monitor air quality, especially with health and breathing issues like asthma.

Reading was completely out
We have a Philips AC3259 Air Purifier which has a professional-grade sensor on it and displays the PM2.5, and was the reason we decided to invest in one of these. The Philips was able to show just how unhealthy some of our rooms where, and you can see the reading immediately respond to sprays in the air, or if you start cooking food. We wanted some of these monitors to place around the house so bought one to test. Well it was wildly off on it's reading, with it recording 0 most of the time whilst the Philips was recording figures much higher (10 to 20). When we introduced toxins like paint, the Philips would shoot up to near 100, vs this which might climb to 8 or 9. We returned this device as we deemed it unsafe to rely on.

and is a nice shape if you've got larger coat pockets to put ...
Does the job well, and is a nice shape if you've got larger coat pockets to put it in there when not actively checking the pollution levels, but batteries don't last long all that long, maybe the 3hrs or so I expected.Do remember this isn't telling you everything about how healthy it is to be where you are - it won't tell you what the pollution is made up of, and it won't pick up NO2 gasses or other particles too small to be detected. But it does help you understand where to avoid once you've used it a while, if you can.

Nice clear and straightforward air pollution monitor.
Well this is one of those rare things, a gadget that actually does what you want it to do without lots of faff and nonsense. The display is clear and bright and the charging cable is through a standard mini USB port, so can use it in a number of ways. It does explain what the numbers mean but for those concerned about air quality... it does what it should. In a perfect world it would cover more than one type of air pollution... as you would need to get another device to cover other types of pollution, but for what you are getting, it's nice and simple

Gives great peace of mind
This is a neat little gadget. You simply charge it up via the usb cable included and turn it on. It displays the air quality in numbers 0-500. What is useful is that there is a guide on the back telling you what is good or bad air quality so you don’t need to refer to the instructions. It also shows a red sign and flashes if the air quality is bad which will alert you to check the guide on the back and also to open (or close, depending on the situation and environment) a door or window! It has a non slip base so won’t slip or damage surfaces. I think this is great and gives good peace of mind.

Attractive and compact air quality monitor for allergy or asthma sufferers
I have been pleased with this air quality monitor so far. It is an attractive and stylish device that feels built to last. This is further emphasised by the 1 year warranty provided with this product. The monitor came packed well with a user manual and USB charging cable. The air quality has a built in rechargeable battery so no need to purchase batteries. It is a compact device so easy to carry around and take abroad where air quality may be an issue for anyone suffering with asthma and allergy issues like my wife. The device is very simple to use, just hold the power button to switch it on and you are ready to go. There is a scale on the back of the monitor which informs you what the values relate to in terms of air quality. The monitor itself will also flash red if it goes into areas where the air quality could be harmful for you.Time will tell how good this air quality monitor is but for the time being I am pleased with this purchase.

Good things come in small packages
As you can see below this fits nicely into your hand however it obviously would have to face the other way to allow air to circulate through the vents. On receipt and after charging I turn it on, the display read 000 so I moved it round the house to see if the reading would change. The only indication that it was working, apart from the display was the very quiet sound from presumably the transducer. Some time after my wife cooked and I had eaten. I thought I would test the air in the kitchen again, the display quite rapidly rose to 049. I have tried it in shops and on buses getting a readout of round about the 15 to 30 mark. So, as this was purchased for a relative with a respiratory problem necessitating the use of an inhaler, I am sure she will be delighted with this smart and useful instrument.

Upgrade? Mehr Messwerte!
Formschön, hochwertige Verarbeitung, aber zu wenige Messwerte.Gesamtkonzentration, Temperatur, Luftfeuchte...wäre eine Verbesserung.
