Miranda: Complete Collection [DVD]

I love Miranda -- both the show and the person :-D The show is light-hearted and silly and fun, and the supporting cast is great. The DVDs have a few extras, including some behind-the-scenes footage, and interviews of the cast, friends, and family by Miranda, plus some other interviews and some outtakes from Season 1. The show, itself, is the star here, though.

Could hardly wait for this to come - missing my Miranda marathon nights since Acorn in their infinite wisdom took these wonderful gems off of their lineup. The interviews and extras are (oh dear can't quite not . . . ) such fun! American TV should take a lesson or two from their UK counterparts, I"m an American and openly admit to us being bested in both comedy and drama quality. I had to get a zone-free DVD player to watch these (and some other PAL only format goodies too) but it's so worth it! Miranda is a genius and indeed every one of the actors cast here are just really damn good at what they do. You know it's good when you can watch the entire series thre-fou-uhh, well maybe five or six times and still can't wait to see them all again!

Very funny and great value thanks

Perfect throwback series to the time when a good sit-com used recurring jokes and perhaps a little bit of an obvious comedic setup from time to time. It's not groundbreaking per se, but each episode is a fun and lighthearted look into the fictitious life of Miranda Hart. Her ongoing efforts to woo Gary and her wacky friends and family are great ways for the script to wander into some funny areas for the audience. if you're looking for highbrow, nuanced British humor, this is not for you. If you are looking for a funny, enjoyable show for the family, this is the series.

Literally laughed out loud at parts of this series which surprised me as I'm not normally a huge fan of British comedy. As the seasons go on they get slightly less funny in my opinion but the quality is the same and I enjoyed watching every season several times. It's basically Miranda trying to get a boyfriend/husband but hoping that it'll be Gary, who she's liked for forever and as the series comes to a close the laughs are downplayed for the more serious(?) side of finding love. That part didn't appeal to me (I bought it for the laughs, not the romance) but I don't regret buying them in the slightest.Sometimes the characters are annoying instead of funny and on a few occasions the joke is kept running long after any comedy value has passed, but that's personal taste and will certainly not apply to everyone who watches.Basically if you have a slightly childish, slapstick sense of humour, you should love this show!

I rarely write reviews, but this series was a total knock out. The complete set is an excellent buy. For those who haven't seen it yet, you will be compelled to unwrap episode after episode (quite like a box of quality street). My mother and i made the 'mistake' of binge watching, and had to take several *what i call* pee breaks from laughing so hard. Miranda Hart is comic genius and the cast is faultless.

This great series was as much fun on DVD as it was watching it on TV the first time! Miranda's stop-taking-life-so-seriously style of humour is as brilliant at the beginning as it is at the end and I'm sure I will watch the series through again in the future with equal amounts of 'what I call' laughing out loud! All episodes are included and the presentation is good. If you don't like it, you probably take life to seriously!

We have caught onto Miranda quite late but now we've found them we love these shows. The catch phrases are now part of our family vocabulary. Genuine honest comedy from a very talented lady. Brilliant characters and of cause the will they won't they love interest. This story has now been told but I hope Ms Hart can come up with something else in the future to provide us with comedy that genuinely tickles.

Cette série, très courte (20 épisodes de 30 minutes), est absolument hilarante, un vrai shoot de bonne humeur!Miranda (Miranda Hart, scénariste et actrice principale, absolument géniale) est une rêveuse empotée, vivant dans son monde et incapable de s'adapter à celui tellement ennuyeux des adultes, à laquelle on peut tous s'identifier, trentenaire encore célibataire étouffée par sa mère snob mais délurée et secrètement amoureuse de son adorable voisin Gary (Tom Ellis, déjà à damner une sainte 10 ans avant Lucifer). Les gags, jeux de mots, quiproquos et situations surréalistes s'enchaînent, les personnages secondaires sont tous délicieux et la série réussit à installer un certain nombre de gags récurrents dont on attend la répétition avec délectation.Je précise que la série est totalement inédite en France, il faut donc comprendre l'anglais, car ces DVD sont uniquement en VO et les sous-titres uniquement en anglais aussi. Mais si c'est votre cas, ne ratez pas cette occasion de rire aux éclats!

Muy satisfechos con la compra. Si te gusta la comedia inglesa esta es tu serie. Además viene con muchos extras. Encantados con ella. Eso sí, no busques el audio en castellano porque no lo hay, pero eso es lo mejor. Traducida la serie perdería gracia. Recomendable 100%

Uno show Eccezionale che tutti dovrebbero conoscere, brillante, ironico, incredibilmente divertente, ma che contiene una morale e un profondo insegnamento sulla diversità e sull'amore. Consigliatissimo a tutti, peccato che è poco conosciuto e che non ci sono i sottotitoli in altre lingue oltre all'inglese. Inoltre negli extra speravo mettessero qualcosa in più.

I really like this quirky, witty, sometimes silly, comedy centered on a slightly odd misfit -but lovable- character and her equally whacky friends and family.When I first saw on the TV a few years ago, it took me a few episodes to warm to it, but it gets better and better as it goes along. While there may be an occasional "naughty" reference or typical British double-entendre, this show does not rely on vulgarity for its laughs, which is a nice change.I was very pleased to find this set that contained all 3 series plus the finale, all in one, and at a much more reasonable price than buying them separately. (I paid less than $30 when ordered in November 2016.)Note this is REGION 2 (UK) DVD set. You need a multi region player if you are in North America.
