we like Italian cuisine ,culture, we visit Italy almost every year , with this hamper we feel very disappointed with the quality of some of the cheeses we have received , some were quite good ,some you can purchase from any super market , not artisanal , we understand the coronavirus pandemic had a negative effect on the supply chains , very disruptive , hopefully next time we wont be disappointed and Italy and the rest of the world would go back to normal and have more peaceful world.

Unfortunately the cheese that was hand cut had gone off. Was able to save the vacuum packaged cheese but the rest had to be binned which was a pity. Could be due to the covid disruptions in post but very disappointed.

I received this hamper as one of two as a gift (cheese one and birthday for him one). The cheeses were all bio / organic. Most were pre-wrapped In vacuum packed packaging rather than being cut and wrapped by the deli. The cheese that was cut and wrapped as described on their website arrived dried out. One that was supplied was less than the weight advertised and not as mature. I contacted the supplier prior to writing this email and they did accept for some cheeses they were looking at pre-packed solutions as this does extend shelf life but did state that where they do make substitutions it is of equal or greater value, they also stated that they would update there description of the product. I accept that I received this hamper during Covid pandemic and appreciate that their supply chain is likely to be severely disrupted, but should be no excuse to continue to take full payment for products they clearly are having difficulty in supplying. The supplier did to their credit respond and send a gift of a bottle of wine, but considering the deficiencies and standard of product originally delivered across the two hampers was a small gesture. I am left with the bitter taste that a very well intended gift has been spoilt by this company’s integrity to deliver products to a standard that they describe. If you are looking for a well packaged hamper delivered on time this may appeal to you, if you want good tasting artisanal products you could be left extremely disappointed.
