Seriously it has a failure point under the leather at the handle. It's just sewn together and has a leather cover. The internal cord is not attached!!!! My dog took off and almost was hit by a car chasing a squirrel. Also my dog is 37lbs and a pit mix. I couldn't imagine what a heavier dog would do to this.

My pup is still learning to come when called. Until she can be trusted off leash, I decided to purchase this long leash to use at the park so she can run around and get some exercise in without the restriction of her 5ft regular leash. This is awesome so far! I love the bright colors and soft handle. The handle is large enough to fit your wrist through comfortably if needed. The leash itself is made out of a bungy-like rope material, so it is kind of stretchy yet super strong. My dog is notorious for chewing though leashes but because of the material of this leash, I dont think she would be able to with this one. So if you are worried about your dog chewing through a long lead and getting away I'd highly recommend this! Very well made product!

The rope itself separating to reveal some smaller cables inside.Verdict: I will keep this, but likely will not buy again.

I have a 50 pound husky and kelpie mix. She is a heavy puller. I’ve been using this leash 5+ times a day for 3 months. The leash isn’t showing any wear and tear; other than it getting a little dirty it looks new. I really like how study the clasp is. She is prone to breaking clasps on leashes and it’s terrifying when it happens, but I have complete faith in this leash. I did buy the 0.5” diameter because she pulls and is so rough on leashes.

My dog is strong, hyper and blind. I need a way to let her run but I can’t let her off leash. This leash gives her a lot of slack to run around. The handle is very comfy and the rope is soft. You won’t get rope burn if it drags across your skin. This should go without saying, but you cannot and should not use this leash on a street, sidewalk, with people and other dogs around, etc. It’s so long and you’ll have no control. It’s just a way to let your dog have some room to run or to put some distance between you while you practice training like stay and come.

This leash is GREAT! We are trying Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT) with our dog and this is a great length. Our trainer suggested tying knots in the lead at 5' intervals so our hands don't get burnt, and that has worked perfectly. I also noticed another reviewer cut the rubber off the handle and we did that too. We've used it twice a day for weeks with our 90 lb bully mix. He does not pull hard, but does sniff around and the lead can take tension if I'm not paying close enough attention. I recommend it!

I love this leash for the price and it's hard for my pup to chew through so it lasts longer than usual leashes. When I first got her, we had to keep a leash on her at all times and she chewed through TWO until I got a shorter version of this one, cut the handle off (so it wouldn't catch on anything) and put a little flame to the end to keep it from fraying. Worked like a charm! Finally got this longer one for walking to let her roam a little further and I'm a fan. The price is hard to beat, too!

I bought the 10’ length of this leash and love it so much.Most leashes are only 6’ in length and that’s not enough if you needed to let your dog run around the house leashed while still training.The round rope (instead of flat like most leashes) allows the leash to be wrapped around like a harness, if you use a Weiss loop with a Martingale collar. Also helps that that it is quite cushy so holding the rope doesn’t hurt when you’re holding the rope and the dog pulls.The two minor things I made modifications to are:1. I removed the padded handle to allow the leash to be looped through a Martingale collar.2. I had to wrap the metal fasteners with electrical tapes because they rub off easily, exposing the sharp edgesOther than the two above, I can’t recommend enough these leashes. My only wish was that I had bought a solid color, because everyone things my male puppy is a girl, because the color of the leash

Purchased this leash for my 90 lb rescue dog. The 10' length gives me alittle more room to allow him to wander ahead without him pulling too much. After using this leash for a few months, I find that my dog pulls much less now with the extra few feet of freedom.Quality build on this items and hasn't shown much wear and tear whatsoever.

It is a great length for long leash training. Anyone commenting that it has too much give obviously doesn’t know how to use this leash. This is to help train reactive dogs so you absolutely want five in the leash! The only negative is that you will need to wear gloves when training as the rope will be uncomfortable when it pulls through your bare hands. All in all a really good product for a fair price!

THIS HAS BEEN GOOD FOR WHEN I HAVE TO LET THE DOG OUT THE BACK. IT IS JUST THE RIGHT LENGTH. HE CANNOT GET INTO THE YARD NEXT DOOR. IT SEEMS TO HAVE A LOT OF STRENGTH. IT IS RIGHT FOR OUR NEEDS.

I ordered the 10' leash to give my dog a little freedom on our walks. I am very happy with it. I can easily loop the lead and hold tight if I want to rein in my dog. The rope is smooth and I have had no issues with it burning my hands.
