Great quality
Don't put this near the kitchen. It might be mistaken for olive oil. Although it's such a dark green and since it's now cold, it's a bit solidified and actually looks more like algae. The packaging was almost over the top. The bottle was sealed, carefully wrapped in corrugated cardboard, and in a sealed box. There's an extremely tight plug in the bottle. You might have to dig in the toolbox to get pliers to pull the plug out. But once I finally managed, the oil was rewarding. A little goes a long way. I think it's one of the richest feeling pure oils I've tried, yet it's not greasy feeling. It just feels like my skin is richly moisturized and very soft. Areas of my skin are becoming drier and more sensitive to dryness, so I've been having a hard time finding a product that moisturizes enough to keep issues at bay. This just may be it. The 17.58 fl oz bottle is currently $30.95 plus 20% off. I think I would get an even bigger bottle, depending on which is the best value. The only negative is the smell is pretty potent and not that great, so I wouldn't use this all over.

Why does it look like this
Arrived well sealed and packaged but has what looks like something hardened on the side and floating in it

Great tamanu oil
This cold pressed oil is of the Tamanu variety and is made by ETHERVA. The oli comes in a very nice looking bottle wrapped in plastic wrap and it certainly gift worthy from an appearance and quality standpoint. The oil itself is very nice quality. It rubs into the skin very well without leaving any type of greasy residue. The oil does a good job moisturizing and relieving dry skin. We mixed it with some other ingredients to mak a hand made lotion and it was slightly more viscous then other previous lotions made with tamanu, it actually worked very well and appied very well.Smell is strong as ususal with Tamanu but it's a nice smell and dissapates relatively quickly after application. Could be neutralized in the right soap or lotion recipe. Overall this bottle is a great value.

Works well for my dry skin.
This is a homeopathic-type product that actually works. I've been hearing a lot about how coconut oil is great for all sorts of things but it's expensive and becomes solid at room temperature making it difficult to work with. This seems to do the same kinds of things that the coconut oil claims to do and is in liquid form. It's kind of expensive, but I've seen similar-sized bottles of olive oil that aren't much less expensive than this, and there are some lotions out there that are really expensive and don't work too well for me. The reviews seem to be unanimously positive, so I thought I would try it. In colder weather I get dry and itchy skin and I haven't found anything that is easy to use and effective. Lotions are either too perfume-y or too soupy and my hands end up greasy and the lotion doesn't really work. I saw in the reviews that this doesn't leave a slimy residue and that is true. Not sure how it does that, but it absorbs really well. I didn't use very much for my dry skin and I could immediately feel relief and 12 hours later I don't have any itchiness. Based on the size of the bottle and how little I used, this will last a long time, making it a good value.

Beautifully Versatile and Pure
This is pure tamanu oil that's unrefined/raw, so there are no fillers or harmful additives. It's in a sturdy metal container that's well-sealed and the bottle itself arrived in a heavy-duty box wrapped in a form-fitting plastic.I used the oil to make handmade soap and it worked perfectly! Pouring to measure the amount needed was easy, but if someone wants to use the oil directly on their skin it'll be a bit more difficult to not get too much. (Tip bottle and pour slowly.) The tamanu is highly nourishing for skin and hair, and it has a rich nutty natural scent that I'm still able to mix with other natural scents (like lavender and rose) while soap-making. I'm grateful that the tamanu doesn't meddle with my floral scents and I can create a nourishing skincare product with a nice pure oil.Etherva's Tamanu Oil is manufactured in India by Keynote International and distributed by Keysel LLC in Delaware, USA.For anyone who uses tamanu for making natural skincare and / or beauty products, or simply tamanu as-is, I highly recommend this product! The generous 17.58 ounces come at a fair price and is of an impressive quality compared to other oils I've used in the past. It's easily a five-star product.

A lot of oil!
This comes so elegantly and securely packaged. The bottle it comes in looks like upscale cooking oil. As far as the oil itself, it’s quite thick. Its consistency reminds me of castor oil. I oactually poked a hole through the stopper because I saw how other reviewers said it didn’t come with a dispenser. This helps it comes out slowly. It moisturizes nicely but it hasn’t blown me away as others describe. It doesn’t absorb fully into my skin. It kind of leaves behind a seal but it doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy either.
