Combined Flex Roof Antenna (AM/FM, DAB +, GPS)

I bought this to replace the original antenna on my Mercedes A class (W169) and it is attached to a Mercedes Audio 20 head unit. I have used it for several weeks now and the FM and DAB reception are both excellent with the FM comparable with the original Mercedes antenna. It was simple to fit (30 minutes at most) and easy to connect to the car wiring harness at the rear of the roof.One of the main reasons for buying this unit is that Mercedes uses Fakra plugs for the antenna and an amplifier built into the OEM antenna base. This came with these (FM, DAB & GPS all Fakra) and ampliifier circuits in the base and could be 'phartom powered' as the Mercedes unit was direct from the Audio 20. If you have a head unit that does not offer phantom powering then this antenna unit can also be directly connected to a 12v connection to directly power the signal amplifiers.The platic sleeve on the Mercedes Fakra was a different configuration to that supplied but simply removing the plactic connector allowed the internal connector on the Antenna to be directly plugged into the Mercedes wiring harness. Having installed this I took the opportunity to add an external DAB radio to the Audio 20 and fitted a Pure Highway model. A Fakra to SMB cable allowed this antenna to successfuly work with the Pure - the power from the Audio 20 FM connection was also powering the DAB amplifier. The signal is excellent and as good as any in-car DAB system I have used. I haven't tried the GPS pickup.All in all this is not the cheapest roof mounted antenna but it is extremely effective and consequently good value for money. I would completely recommend it.

Excellent reception better than my old one that gave up after 10 months.Cables only 30 cm long with fakra connections with make it difficult to attach to a new stereo going into a older car.Aerial reception 5 stars but had to cut cables and solder old ones to the new aerial

Bra antenn som förstärker signalen både för fm, dab och gps

Ich habe diese Antenne als Ersatz für die Serienantenne an meinem Toyota Prius Plugin Hybrid gekauft. Die Serienantenne hat keinen DAB Anschluss und kann daher auch nicht mit einem Splitter umgebaut werden.Ich habe mir vor einem Jahr das DAB-Radio von Albrecht eingebaut und bisher eine Fensterklebeantenne genutzt. In Ballungsgebieten guter Empfang von rund 12 Programmen und kaum war man mal in der Peripherie oder außerhalb der Stadt, war kein DAB mehr vorhanden.Also kaufte ich im Februar eine Magnetfußantenne und ein Verlängerungskabel und der DAB-Radio-Empfang war plötzlich um Lichtjahre besser.Kein Abriss mehr, keine Ausfälle und vor allem eine so gute Empfangsqualität, das ich sogar in Hamburg noch Berliner und Stuttgarter Sender empfange.Auch die Anzahl ging auf 53 Sender hoch.Der Nachteil war aber, das ich immer 2 Antennen auf dem Dach hatte und die Magnetfußantenne relativ viel umhergewandert ist, da der Lack zu glatt ist.Also kaufte ich diese Antenne hier, weil die DAB, FM und sogar GPS an Bord hat.Zudem sieht diese Antenne stylisch besser aus als diese 16V-Antennen.Für so einen Umbau sollte man allerdings diverse Adapter mit dazu kaufen, da nicht alle passen.Ich brauchte rund 4 Wochen um alle Adapter für mich zu besorgen und habe dann die Antennen umgebaut. Dauerte bei mir rund 2 Stunden, aber kann sich sehen lassen.Die Antenne passt sich perfekt auf dem Dach ein, die Anschlüsse sitzen fest und haben Kontakt, gegen evtl dennoch eindringendes Wasser hilft Fensterkitt für PKWs oder Silikon.Nach dem Einbau und Anschluss an das DAB Radio testete ich alles durch.FM Radio ohne Probleme (aber das höre ich seit Sept. 2016 nicht mehr) und DAB Radio... Wunderbarer Empfang.Die Anzahl der Sender ist mit 54 sogar noch um einen gestiegen. Aber ich höre hauptsächlich Pure Fm und Sunshine Live. Evtl. noch NDR ZWei oder Hamburg Zwei.Wenn jemand nun meint, das es auch andere Antennen gibt, die DAB empfangen, warum gerade diese hier??Zum einen sieht die Antenne gut aus, der Wedel ist zirka 30cm lang. Fakra Anschlüsse für DAB/FM/GPS. Da rutscht nichts mehr auseinander.Und ich habe hier immer noch die Möglichkeit, mein Navi anzuschließen. Bei mir ist zwar Serienmäßig ein Navi drin, aber wer z.B. nur ein Navi hat das an die Scheibe gepappt wird, kann hier z.b. mit einem speziellen Kabel sein Navi verbinden und eine noch bessere Navigation herstellen.

Mitgelieferte Scheibenantenne für DAB+ vom Android Radio brachte nicht den erhofften Erfolg. Nach Umrüstung mit dieser Dachantenne Super Empfang.Nutze gleichzeitig noch das GPS Signal der Antenne für die Navigation 👍😎

Nachdem mich die ständigen Aussetzer meiner DAB Scheiben Antenne langsam aber sicher zur Weißglut gebracht haben, habe ich mich für diese Antenne entschieden. Die Montage lief Problemlos & sollte von jedem der etwas Ahnung über KFZ Elektronik hat problemlos durchzuführen sein. Ich hab die Remote Leitung direkt am ZP des Autos angeschlossen. Der Empfang ist jetzt um Klassen besser. Ich kann diese Antenne nur weiterempfehlen. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die etwas zu kurtzen Kabel, für die Montage des GPS Kabels an die bereits vorhanden Fahrzeugverkabelung war eine Verlängerung von 10 cm notwendig.
