Broke within first hour of use
I purchased this shoulder strap to use with a Poulan gas powered pole saw/weed whacker. When it arrived yesterday I was delighted to see that is appeared to be well designed and well made. When I first began using it I thought, "This is great, it's exactly what I was looking for!". When adjusted properly it provided great support, comfort and excellent control over the machine. Just what I needed! Some people have complained about the velcro attachment strap being inadequate and I could see exactly what everyone was talking about but I didn't need the velcro strip since my pole saw/weed whacker has a built in mounting hook designed for a shoulder strap. All I needed to do was use the spring loaded closure clasp provided at the end of the strap. So, I went out to do some trimming but about an hour into my very first use of this shoulder strap the clasp that attaches it to the machine suddenly broke in half. It snapped off leaving the spring clasp attached to the machine and the rest of it still attached to the strap buckle. Close examination revealed the spring attachment clip to be made of what appears to be thin cheap pot metal rather than something thicker and more durable like steel or brass.Luckily, I was able to jury rig a method to reattach the harness to my pole saw/weed whacker and continue working but it is a poor compromise, to be sure.I certainly can't recommend that anyone purchase this item. Very disappointed with this purchase.EDIT: After a little experimentation, I discovered that if I replace the broken clasp on this sling with a Nite Ize #1 or #2 size S-Biner (search Amazon) I could return this product to like new or better performance and durability. This will make for an easy, relatively inexpensive and worthwhile fix-it.

Works Great, East to Adjust
After adding some Velcro to the edger strap I was able to balance my edger to my units balance point (reason for 4 stars) and the way I use my unit. That and a few adjustments on the shoulder strap length and I was cutting away with little to no strain. The edger weight was now on my shoulders and my arms and hands were adjusting the cut as things went along. Much less wear and tear on my body. At 76 and 3 joint replacements, balance and WnT is important.

Takes weight off your arms amazing.
I know a bunch of reviews talk about the Velcro not being strong enough. However my toro had an actual clip built in that I never noticed until I decide to get a sling. Check yours because most have the clip and won’t need the Velcro. That said after 9 years of weed whacking without a sling, I can now say I will whack it twice as much because it is so much easier. Used to do once a month now I can do every 2 weeks. The sling has made it 98% easier and less strain on my bad arm. It’s amazing. Even if you don’t have a clip built in and have to use the Velcro attachment u can use a piece of duct tape to hold and it is worth it.

Connecting strap is velcro.
Little connecting strap would not hold until I added a hose clamp.

Terribly weak velcro
The hook-and-loop strap that is supposed to hold up the weight of the entire weed-whacker is so weak that even a slight tug pops it open. I had to just throw that away, and improvise with a couple of zip-ties. Other than that, the sling is good, but that's a major deficiency.

Worked for about a week.
Great concept, however the piece (the Velcro) that actually wraps around the weed eater needs to be longerIt routinely comes undone on it's own and this week it's been in the 90's so with me sweating etc, once it gets wet, you're done for. Velcro stops working.A week later....Piece of garbage. I have used it everyday for a week and a half and the Velcro now doesn't stay at all.

Keep looking, this is a waste of your time and money!
I paid for this, and I returned it! To start at the price I honestly expected a somewhat rugged strapping, this was pulled directly out of a Walmart brand backpack. My weed eater does not have a place to clip onto, so I though the easy to install Velcro strap would be nice. Nope not one bit! Why because of cheap materials again, I have never seen such week Velcro as this stuff, and it is going to hold my vibrating weed eater? HA! The clips are very cheap and I would not expect along life from them, and I'm confused at the image with the carabiners as none are included. I think they are giving you ideas to improve their poor product. Finally I don't consider myself tall, I'm 5'10" and I had to pull the straps all the way to the max to use over one shoulder never mind across the chest like the photo.Keep looking, this is a waste of your time and money!

A waste of money
The That wraps around the bar of the trimmer is to weak, the moment you put any weight on the strap the Velcro is undone.
