Are you fed up with pruning shears that simply don't make the grade? Maybe they're so heavy and awkward that your wrist can't handle pruning for more than a few minutes at a time? Maybe your pruners jam every other time you go to snip a branch? Maybe your hands are rubbed raw by hard handles with no give? Then you've got to get your hands on these gardener-quality pruners from Green Thumb Gear. We built these things to last, but we also wanted to make sure that gardeners like you can take them out in the yard and do a little trimming here and there without wincing every time you pick up the shears. They're rugged and versatile enough to slice through branches up to ½" in diameter and comfortable enough so you could prune your entire garden without feeling like your hand is about to fall off. Give yourself the garden-tested combination of comfort and versatility. Our shears use a light-weight design with a PVC-finished aluminum handle that's easy to grip and makes it a snap to snip all types of branches and stems at any angle. The mid-carbon blades can handle anything a typical yard can throw at them, and you won't be using monstrous, bulky shears to do a job that can be easily handled by pruners half the size. We guarantee good clippings. At Green Thumb Gear, we work hard to bring you products that make your gardening life easier, whether you're a babe in the woods or a seasoned pro. If you're not satisfied with the performance of these pruners, we're happy to offer you a full no questions asked refund within 90 days of purchase. Great quality
These really should be pretty basic for the price but instead offer a very firm action with suitable tension created by the spring. These have the engineering of more expensive secateurs, (I'm thinking particularly of Felco ones), and are very well put together. The only drawbacks I have noticed are that dis-assembling them for access to the blade, (say for whetstone sharpening), is likely to leave you with several bits & a headache. So sharpening may be a bit difficult. They are very sharp though and the blade does not seem to mark easily so this is unlikely to be a problem for some time. The second drawback is the foam on the handles. I always wonder why manufacturers of garden equipment use this as foam deteriorates quickly and becomes dirty & unpleasant to handle. This is really not much of a problem here though as the handles have regular plastic coating beneath the foam. Just get rid of it once it begins wear. The spring loaded action works very well, the jaws open wide enough to do the job, they are very sharp & everything is put together well. All in all these have the feel of & work as well as secateurs far more expensive than the ridiculously low price being asked for here. These provide an awful lot for the money & if you are after a pair then you really should think twice about spending a lot more as these do the job very well.
