Iwasaki Curved Half Round Fine File

I pinch it up near the teeth with my fingers in the curved back and slide it along the grain inside curves to slice material away.Always pull it in towards the center of the face you're working, use LIGHT pressure, if you're pushing it's probably too hard, and I like to use a flicking motion but that's up to you.The iwasaki website shows how the blades have mini-chip breakers cut into them, and it makes sense, it's a row of microplanes, not file teeth, so you get wispy little curlicues rather than sawdust.
