I got this kit for my daughter's birthday. She loves making crafty things and also has a love for cute things she can hang on her bags. These bead pets are a perfect activity to keep her entertained and she's proud of herself when she's finished a cute friend to keep on her bag. They're good quality and a great price for all you get.

I should've looked at the instructions in the product photos before I bought these because when I looked at them in real life they looked super complicated.I used to make these back in grade school decades ago so I thought these would be fun for my kids to do as well. My daughter chose the heart one to do first and we had to restart it a few times because the lines and arrows are quite small which make it easier to lose your place if you're not careful. Well I thought I was being pretty careful and following the tiny lines and arrows closely but I wasn't. I love putting stuff together and love doing crafts so this should've been easy for me, not sure why the instructions make it look so complicated. I think perhaps it's just overwhelming the amount of arrows and lines and this direction vs that direction. We thought the heart one was confusing...and then we looked at the bunny and we gave up for the day. Maybe we looked at the bee too (whatever was on the last page and was five star hard level), yikes!One of the creatures was mislabeled in the directions too (it was a duplicate name of another creature but the photo was what was actually being made, can't remember which one it was though).Overall neutral on these - my daughter and I only did the one (the heart) so far and haven't gone back to it in a few weeks because of how complicated it looked. We'll go back and give it another go for sure though!

This is a very cute kit that comes with everything you need inside the box. My 8 year old and I had a great time making some of them and I'm sure it will continue to provide fun together time in the future. She does have some experience with these types of crafts, so she would be able to follow the directions on her own for the most part. However, if she didn't already have experience, I think she would have found the instructions challenging. If looking for solo crafting time, I would guess this would be best for 10+ years old, as being able to read the patterns can take a bit of practice.

I love crafts, so I was excited to see this travel-friendly (with the neatly organized case), simple activity for when I have a few spare minutes. I enjoyed the projects and found the illustrations in the book helpful. Each project turned out exactly as pictured, and the included plastic needles helped a great deal in stringing the beads onto the included string.Pros:- The keychains turned out so cute! The results were just like the pictures in the guide book.- The projects progressed in difficulty, so people unfamiliar with beading can work their way towards the more difficult steps.- Working with these bigger beads (pony beads) are a great way to learn skills to work with smaller beads like seed beads!Cons/Suggestions:- Some of the diagrams require a close look to follow the paths of the thread in order to make sure you bead the project securely. It may be difficult to see/understand for younger children!- The heart design is labeled in the book as "Crocodile"- not a con, exactly, likely a misprint!- For the designs requiring multiple pieces of string, the diagram does not show which line is which. That might be a helpful addition, as they are different lengths of string!- The more difficult projects required more string than suggested. There was plenty of string included, but I ended up tying one off and starting another because I ran out of cord.All in all, a great project for idle adults! Children may need guidance- I wouldn't suggest this for under middle school age unless the child is already familiar with these sorts of crafts. That's just a suggestion, though, as some children may be able to follow it easily! It really depends on the experience level of the crafter!

I remember my friends in elementary and middle school making these kind of beaded animals and I always wanted to try it, but just never got around to it. After recently having weight-loss surgery, I've been looking into different crafts/hobbies that I can do to keep my hands busy, so I don't start back to snacking out of boredom.This kit comes with everything you need to create multiple beaded keychain pets...you get different colored pony beads in a nice hard plastic case that snaps, you get 10 keychains, braiding cord, 3 plastic yarn needles to help you thread the braided cord through the pony beads, and am instruction booklet/guide. I was so surprised at how straightforward and easy the instructions/guide was to follow. With a lot of other crafts that I've tried, I have had to start over at least 3 or 4 times before I got it right, but with this kit I got the concept immediately...didn't have any troubles at all.I would definitely recommend this beaded keychain pets kit to anyone...kids and adults alike could enjoy this kit. This kit would also make a great gift in multiple ways, cause you can either gift them kit itself or you can gift the keychains that you make.

What a cute set!! Even the box is adorable! And there's a lot included. The color assortment is great, and the keychains are very nice quality. The instruction manual has clear directions for each animal, and is easy to follow. This is a really fun activity for older children, and I've enjoyed it as well.

A couple of the patterns are a little confusing and take some major concentration but this was super fun and they turned out adorable

This is a great bead kit-- lots of versatility and lots of material with which to work. It is definitely worth the money. However, don't think you can hand this off to an eight-year-old and he/she will be busy for two hours. Children will need sustained adult assistance. For example, the instruction sheet was a challenge even for me.
