Just what I needed
This was a great find--it is good quality and a fair price. I'm very satisfied with this purchase and will buy this line again.

This bit has been amazing. If you use it correctly you will have BEAUTIFUL cuts. If you cut way too slow ANY bit will overheat, char, dull, and/or and break. Touch the bit as soon as your cut is finished (and the machine is safely off) and it should be room temperature or slightly warmer. If it's hot you are doing it very wrong. You should be throwing off CHIPS, not sawdust, when cutting. The chips are what carry away heat from the bit.I cut at 324 IPM and had beautiful cuts with the 57-260 on 3/4" MDO (MDF veneer on waterproof plywood), I'm going to try 360 IPM next.( 0.195-0.2 pass depth, 18,000 RPM on a Shopbot Buddy. I've tested 4.2 IPS, 4.8 IPS, and 5.4 IPS all were smooth cuts. My next test will be 6.0 IPS)We have several of these bits in our makerspace. Someone cut super slow with one of them and it got so charred I couldn't calibrate Z because it no longer conducted electricity. I cleaned some char off so it could calibrate and tried using it, but the slow cut also dulled the bit so my cuts were a little fuzzy even in the low 300s IPM, but with a new bit the cuts were beautiful again.I also used the 57-240 for a test cut and it seemed good as well, but the max cut depth of 1/2" has severely limited it's usefulness to me.
