blurry black & white photos, poor quality paper
The author's website is alled Color Crazy, however, there was not one color photo in the book! There are many photos, however, all in black & white but not good high contrast black and white. It's like a bad photocopied book on low quality yellow-ish paper. Because many photos lack contrast so the techniques illustrated are hard to figure out.I purchased the book based on great reviews but no one mentioned the cheap paper and lack of contrast photos which are not really black and white but maybe 3 shades of brown.I returned it. The author does have great online videos so I will refer to those.

Easy craft
The book was interesting and had lots of projects to try. The "yarns" you use can be from lots of different things--old tshirts cut into strips, regular yarn in cotton, wool or acrylic. fabric cut into(or ripped as the author prefers) into strips--I imagine you can use whatever will fit through the holes in your backing material. She suggests a few different backings also, from inexpensive burlap to rug canvas. I like this book. It had just enough technical stuff to get the job done, but not enough to lose me. There is a lot of potential for projects not in the book, so it isnt limited to just what she shares. I think even kids could do this with a little supervision at first, and some help cutting strips of stuff. They could make stuff bigger than potholders. Its fun, interesting, and easy. I LIKE it!

Something New
This is my first endeavor with Locker Hooking, and I'm having a lot of fun with it. Being that I'm out of the country right now, it's sometimes hard to find all of the tools that's needed to do things with, I couldn't find the tool that looks like a crocheting hook with an eye (like a needle) in it, but I made a makeshift one, and it works perfectly. So right now I'm working on a project to build up my skills, and to see how well it turns out. But I love the book, it's colorful, easy to follow, and has really nice pictures. I would say that it's rather, inviting. I would recommend it for beginners like myself, and for the more experienced, I think the projects are worth their time and effort.

Well-written instructions for a new (to me) craft
I never heard of locker hooking until I read about it on Craft Passion's blog. She had a review of this book and showed some of the projects. I loved the look of the trivet she made.I bought the book and am now "hooked." So far I've made a few bracelets and trivets. I searched everywhere for a pretty tile to use in the trivet. I was able to get the rest of the supplies at a craft store. Then after watching some of Theresa's videos on youtube I learned of her website, Color Crazy. She has all the supplies right there, even the tiles. She doesn't "advertise" her website in the book but provides clear instructions on how to make the fabric strips and suggests what locker medium to use.The book includes the directions for several colorful and contemporary projects. The photos of the the steps are very helpful. They clearly show the techniques and steps involved for construction.

Nice introduction to locker hooking
This book teaches everything you need to know about locker hooking. Supplies to get started locker hooking are minimal, easily obtained and reasonably priced. The instructions and illustrations really do provide clear steps to creating fun and quick projects. There is always a period of initial fumbling when starting a new craft. Due to the repetitive process of locker hooking the fumbling was short lived. My first projects were two different cuff bracelets. They were easy and, yes, fun to make. They came out so well, I gave one as a gift to a friend. I am hooked on locker hooking!

Creative Crafting
Recently I was introduced to locker hooking and fell in love with it. Having been a quilter for twenty-five years I have a vast accumulation of fabric. This is a wonderful way to use up fabric and reduce one's stash. What I like most about this book is the creativity. It takes the craft from the mundane to the artistic. There are varied projects from coasters, purses, hot pads, book covers to Easter baskets. It is an easily portable craft and does not require strict attention in most cases. There are quick, easy projects for beginners and more challenging ones after you learn the technique. I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to learn locker hooking or someone already well involved in the craft.

Great instructions, smashing books.
I've got both of the hoop n lock booms by this author. They are both great instruction books. Personally I'm not over the moon about most of the projects - only because the end result in my opinion is too bulky for bags/book covers. That's just my opinion mind, loads of people will love all the projects. But this is absolutely fantastic for rugs. The instructions are very clear, the photography and pictures of the projects are great. If you want to learn the locker hook technique, these are the books to buy.

Hooked
Most if not all of the pages can be viewed by "opening" the on-line book. Therefore I was a tad disappointed that there was nothing extra when I actually got my hands on the real book!As I already do various crafts using recycled fabrics, ribbon, yarns etc. I needed a kick start on this variation of a hooking method of rug-making that I already used.It is good if you are new to this type of crafting; otherwise a bit basic.

More inspirational ideas!
I bought this book at the same time as Locking Loops because it had more great ideas for locker hooking projects. The instructions are clear and techniques are explained and well illustrated so it is suitable for beginners and, due to the ideas, more experienced locker hookers although the basics are the same as in Locking Loops, but this is to be expected as they are 'stand alone' books. I still feel that it is worth buying for the wealth of ideas.

Brilliant
Very clear and worth the wait. Everything extremely well explained. Only minor criticism, where can you buy items needed in the UK.
