I was looking for a better way to freeze my wheat grass juice for future use (growing and juicing wheat grass is easier all at once on a Sunday afternoon rather than cleaning the juicer every day). Regular rectangular cubes are OK, but you can't fit as many in a jar or glass (these round balls fill up the spaces much better). My friend in Florida has a Meyer Lemon tree, and he just juices them and freezes the juice, so he has it throughout the year - same strategy as with my wheat grass juice. These are perfect for adding a ball of lemon juice to a batch of tea, or melting into a recipe.The round balls melt more quickly than traditional ice cubes because they have more surface area. If you're making round ice cubes as an interesting change from the regular ones, these melt more quickly in warm drinks, because they're relatively smaller and have more surface area... which means your drinks will be chilled faster.Another benefit to these 1" round balls is that they easily fit into the mouth of my drinking bottle - much easier then regular cubes, which makes them handy.Overall, these ice cube trays are well made, and I'm happy to have them in my kitchen. They work especially well for juices and flavored ice cubes, but I also use them for regular ice cubes because the ice comes out so easily and the round cubes are interestingly different.

The media could not be loaded.  We do not have an ice maker. These ice cube trays are easy to fill up with water. It much easier than other ice cube trays and the water does not spill out. Water always spills out of other ice cub trays I have used before. It is also very easy to remove the ice from the ice cube trays. I always had trouble removing ice from other ice cube trays. The lid on the ice cube trays is great and makes it easy for me to stack them in the freezer. I would definitely recommend buying these ice cube trays. It makes a lot of ice and the bucket to that comes with it makes it easy to store the ice cubes and make more. It does not take long to make ice because the cubes are small. The small ice cubes are easy to put in water bottles with a small mouth.the trays are also very easy to clean.
