I almost couldn't believe my eyes. an accurate micro version of the Nintendo Entertainment System! One of the most adorable little items I've ever seen. I own the NES mini and I thought THAT was cute! LOL!This little guy is intricately, painstakingly detailed - and lovingly so, I'd wager. I am highly impressed with the accuracy of the design. Every detail of the original unit is captured in this model - every side is accurate. They even sculpted the rear and side video connectors (with labels!!!). Even the tiny cartridge door opens to reveal a Super Mario Bros. game cart inside!! The pair of controllers that rest on top of the unit are also lovingly and equally as detailed.There is a door on the bottom for a battery (included with my unit). I figured it would just turn on some lights for effect. Press the Power button and it plays music and sounds from the Super Mario Bros. game!! Nice!Seriously, this thing is super cool and super cute - well worth the purchase. I can imagine these ornaments, when sold out, will most likely go up in value. They are so very well crafted, especially for being mass-produced miniature reproductions of an already highly-intricate and precisely designed gaming system.I also bought the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis models and they are similarly awesome with equally high levels of quality and detail!

Hallmark has done a great job with their video game related ornaments and this NES console is no exception. The console series they've done are great with the music that plays when pressing the button.It looks like a perfect mini replica and adds a little bit of childhood memory to your Christmas tree. I'm not typically one that favors pop culture ornaments too much, but a few that spark specific memories of childhood Christmases can't go wrong, so if that sounds like something that fits someone in your family, I highly recommend this added to your tree.

I found these little ornaments and fell in love with them. I have the SNES, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and this one. The replica is spot on, you can even open the game tray and see the original Super Mario game inside.It has a sound mix of the original music of the game recorded straight from the original. You can close your eyes and see what's happening by sound alone.As an ornament is top notch and you can even have it in a desk or a shelf. I hope Hallmark keep doing more consoles like PS2 or Nintendo DS.

This is the cutest little ornamental replica of one of the best gaming systems ever! And when I originally purchased the first one I thought it was adorable even before I knew it made Nintendo sounds. I bought a second one a few days later. My son's wife was envious of the one I gave him, so of course I had to get a matching one for her! All three of us were addicts of that Nintendo game system and the Mario Brothers!

Thanks for bringing these back! They were reselling for ridiculous prices online. Now, i have this hanging on my Christmas tree along with my Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo. I enjoy playing it because it reminds me of some of the best parts of my childhood. The attention to detail is amazing. I only wish you would start adding strings to your ornaments again. I had to use ribbon to make my own. But it is awesome. I love it and I am very happy with my purchase. Hallmark has been on point with their ornaments designs over the last few years.

The size is perfect. The little door opens and closes and when you press the power button, it plays the exact sounds that you hear on the video in the amazon ad. After the fireworks at the end, the ornament automatically turns off so you don't have to worry about someone running your batteries down. It's so nice that I would recommend saving the original packaging for storage, because it would be a shame to let this thing get scratched up in storage. I'm definitely putting it on my tree.
