Add Yogic Healthy Breathing to your Yoga Practice
I Love the premise of this book - to empower more people everyday to breathe better feel better and achieve their potential - both on and off the yoga mat.Patrick and his Oxygen Advantage techniques have started gained lots of traction now and I really liked that he has created a resource specifically for breathwork applications for those having a Yoga Practice.As you would expect from a book written by Patrick, there is lots of great, simple to understand information which can cater for different requirements. The first four chapters cover a great foundation and essence and should be read in that order but subsequently you can read the other chapters in any order as per your needs.The book is packed with science, explaining concepts, illustrations which make it easier to understand the techniques. I am familiar with Patrick's Oxygen Advantage Techniques but there is also then lots of useful information about ancient Yogic breathing techniques like Pranayama and again each exercise is explained very well for even a beginner to understand.I use Yoga as part of my fitness regimen along with other modalities like resistance band training and I liked how this has provided me with a framework to embed both Oxygen Advantage and other breathing techniques within that practice.I think the book caters for beginners and those also with well established routines and I think this is great especially as many times breathwork is not focussed on in many Yoga related fitness programmes but it is absolutely crucial.Again, just like in his books like the breathing cure, Patrick and Anastasis explain various use cases whether it is stress, anxiety, panic, sleep or even female health so it has super useful learning that can be useful to anyone who just wants to leverage the power of breathwork to improve their health, wellbeing, thinking etc.It is a book I will be using lots for reference.

This book is a must for anybody who really wants to make measurable progress & go deeper into Yoga or start & really hit the ground running.We are reminded of why we do asana; so that we can sit comfortably, (undistracted by our body), so that we can breathe well. Why & how we need to breathe for optimal health; and where this can lead (authentic meditative states).There is a completely free App that supports & clearly guides us through all the exercises and provides experiential proof for every bit of the science described in the book.If you wish to feel better & become less dependent on things that only really seem to provide short, fleeting spells of enjoyment, beginning functional breathing is probably the best move you can make & this book’s a great place to start.
