Not great....
This is difficult to use properly. Proper use of one of these Micrometers means you must be able to use it with one hand, adjusting the opening/closing mechanism with your thumb and first finger whilst the jaw end sits in the palm of your hand with little finger around the U shaped body. This Micrometer has been designed by someone who doesn't use them as it's too long to do this comfortably.Secondly, this Micrometer needs re-calibrating to 0 every single time it's used. Use it once and check to see whether the 0 lines up with the calibration mark and in my experience it almost never does. I can only assume this is due to inaccuracies in manufacture.I shall be returning mine.

Superb and well manufactured - excellent.
A superbly manufactured micrometer - gives consistent and accurate measurements. Quick to use and easy to read measurements from. It is definitely possible to 'read between the lines' of the 0.01mm markings to an accuracy I would say of 0.002mm...Very nice, comes in good plastic box complete with little 'spanner' to 'set zero' with - although It keeps it's calibration perfectly well in use I find. A very nice item at a reasonable price and speedily delivered - easy 5-stars from me.

good mike
good micrometer and price is good, it took me a while to do calibration but after this everything is working fine, the only thing bothers me that brake lever is plastic, so it is only the matter of time when it will break, probably

Great value little micrometer
Great value little micrometer. A slight bit of stickiness in the thread, but smooth as butter once opened and closed a few times. Great value at £18. Even greater value if like me you ordered a 'Good' condition used one from Amazon Warehouse for £10, and it arrived brand new, sealed, unopened. Result!

Easier to use than a digital vernier calliper for small objects
This is a bog-standard micrometer. It comes in a case with the tool needed to zero it. No instructions, but you can look up how to use it on Youtube if you don't know.I use this for measuring valve shims down to 0.01mm. I also have a digital calliper which reads to 0.01mm, but it's hard to get a steady reading on that. Once you know how to read it, this is easier to use for measurements in this range.

Great item - bang on the money
For the amount of times I will use this, and the accuracy I'm looking for, it's fine. How well it will wear is yet to be seen. Turn the clicker handle at differing speeds and you'll arrive at zero or sometimes slightly off; needs consistency in usage.
