I bought this as a replacement for the same coat that was 15 years old. It had a small tear and a friend tried repairing it. Unfortunately, after attempted repair, it was toast. Anyway, I live in Washington. It rains a lot, and gets very windy. I have a lightweight rain jacket (actually several), this one is a well-constructed, medium weight Goretex shell. Very high quality.

Gorgeous construction and the drop hood is awesome. But it’s definitely on the boxy side especially compared to the Beta SL, which is much more tailored. I’m 5’9” and 165 and wear a medium for 95% of my clothes. 38 or 39 in suit jackets. The medium felt pretty loose on me, even when layering up. The Small fit great in the chest, arms, shoulders but was too snug around my hips.
