Beautiful Book in excellent condition and more than fair price
The book is a Gem on some of our greatest Interior Designers and Architects from the 20's until the present time. The photography is excellent and you are seeing the unusual pack of talent all gathered under one Design Studio that served some of the most wealthy clients ever known. Many are still out there but now on their own.. I loved this book and all the various stories they tell of Sister Parish and Albert Hadley. Sadly both now gone....They leave us quite a remarkable legacy in the talent they chose for their firm. The book arrived well packaged and for a very fair price.. Both the book and seller are highly recommended.

Sensitively written personal histories of designers' time at this legendary design firm.
I'm not a designer, but I am passionate about the topic. If you also love decorating, and are very curious about how your favorite designers and tastemakers think, this is a marvelous book. The book is organized by alumni from the firm, and there are many wonderful, sensitively written remembrances in this book which reveal the ideas and character of both Parish and Hadley. A very good book about the inner workings of design; a very "human" look at the people, process, and influences. Be advised: this book is not a "how-to" book for the amateur. It's a series of personal histories of coming into the design business, being mentored by greats (and sometimes abused by them!), and reflecting on the gifts of those collaborations.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Photos, With First Hand Accounts!
Beautiful book with gorgeous photos and first hand accounts of renowned designers who worked for Parish Hadley. I am a novice designer and have always been a big fan of Sister Parish's deign philosophy. This book has also taught me a lot more about what really went on behind the scenes and how much Albert Hadley influenced their work. She had a natural ability and effortless style, while Mr Hadley was well trained, with a well thought out and meticulous plan. That is why they worked so well together. Highly recommend for any designer, or those who aspire to be!

A Stunning Book
This is truly a beautiful book on interior design. It is very well written, and the photos are stunning. The rooms pictured are gorgeous, and of course timeless. If you like the look of beautiful antiques, mixed with contemporary art, you will really enjoy this book. The rooms pictured are warm and inviting (by example, clay potted plants sitting on well polished antique tables next to Imari porcelain) and reflect the owners' passions for collecting. These are layered rooms at their finest, and they do not look "staged" as many designers are prone to do today!
