Vital Choice Wild Albacore Tuna, In Water, No Added Salt, 6 oz Cans (Pack of 6)

I eat a lot of canned tuna. This is probably the best tasting tuna on the market today. The solid pack means you are getting tuna and very little else coming out of the can. Vital Choice tuna is expensive, and you are getting good value for money. If your main use for tuna is tuna mixed with mayonnaise and pickles for a tuna fish sandwich, you can go a little lower on the cost scale and still get a good product for that purpose. If you use canned tuna for European style recipes that depend on taste and texture of the plain product, for example mixed with Cannellini beans, fresh lemon juice, and fresh parsley for a salad, then this is a good choice.

I used to love this brand of tuna. It was the only kind I would buy. Sadly, it is not the same since the company changed hands. The tuna seems dry and tasteless.

I did not know how good canned tuna could be until I had this tuna. This company claims to only catch small tunas, thus reducing the mercury content. The color, taste and smell are all better than grocery store tuna. I highly recommend this for tuna lovers.

While you may be put off at first by the price, I promise you that once you taste it, you will never want another brand of tuna ever again! It is beyond delicious and worth every penny!

This is a hard product for me to review. In the ‘main street’ grocery stores you pay around $1-1.25/can for tuna (name brands). This tuna costs seven times that! So... the question becomes how does it taste, and is it worth the price differential? I will say that this is the best canned tuna I have ever eaten. You can taste the quality - not nearly as ‘fishy’ as regular canned tuna, and very little fishy smell (very unlike the regular tuna). It is tuna and literally nothing else (except water or oil). I got the tuna in water and it was good enough that I drank the remaining water out of the can 😁. The tuna is in almost whole chunks rather than the almost shredded tuna you often get in the name brand cans. I like that the tuna is a USA product, rather than coming from China or wherever. So... the quality is really good but (for me) I can’t justify a 3.5oz can of tuna that costs more than $7. If you really love canned tuna and value the quality enough to justify the cost, then you will be pleased. Overall I have to give this 3 stars - an easy 5 for the quality, but only 2 for the value. I have been using vital choice seafood products for several years . I like their tuna because it doesn't come from China. It has great taste and you don't have to worry about pollutants.
