Colour photography didn't begin with Ernst Haas but he created a new epoch in execution .He left an archive revealing a man with a painter's hand and a poet's eye. The book shows mostly unseen work by Haas, work that is at once rich in color and texture as well as being more edgy and experimental than much of the work he became known for during his lifetime. An important addition to anyone who has an appreciation for his masterful work.

This is a beautiful book. Ernst Haas is true pioneer of his craft. His sense of colour, light, shape and composition. I would highly recommend this book.

I was was looking for a concise biography on the photogrphy which I found. I have no more to say.
