Q: How close do the heating coils come to the edge? I'm looking for actual dimensions of the heating area, not the blanket itself. Thanks.

I tried to upload pictures- not working. Measurements approximate- may have stretched a bit. Sides 14 in. Bottom 7in from hem to one row coil, then 4in to coils. Top 8 in hem to coils. Coil area 40in wide 60 in long. I am 5’8” and not thin 😀 — the heated area covers me quite well. It’s a nice blanket.

Q: Should I wash before use?

I didn’t think it was necessary. After all it’s not bedding it is a throw over your clothes while lounging. The material was very plush. My mom loves it!

Q: Some reviews re scary. I am 4'11 and wan to use it for my bed. Will this ome cover my dogs when I got to bed?

I am 5'1" and the blanket is only big enough for one person. It won't cover you and dogs I don't think.

Q: Can u turn this off without unplugging from wall socket?

Yes, you can turn it off with its controller.
