On seeing the Velocitron Speedia 500 Collection Road Rocket, and loving the bike mode, but not the colour scheme, I began to wonder if the mould had been used to make a figure in a more-appealing hue.As it would turn out, not only would the answer be "yes", but what was supposed to be an exclusive to a company I willingly avoid supporting was both available right here, and discounted some. What's more, after looking on the TFWiki, I found out the figure/character had some history behind it.To explain, the figure is simply named "Laser Cycle", yes, however this is only as such to avoid confusion with another figure that was part of this same mini-line. This - alongside every additional Toxitron Collection item - was based on a cancelled Generation 2 figure, particularly Jazz in this instance.Unfortunately, on getting the item - as visible in the first image - I found the package to be a bit marred, but this didn't bother me much, as I like to have a display shelf of loose, posed, and/or transfored figures, rather than clunky boxes with that-contained-within not-even-visible in some instances. The hugely-disappointing aspects started on opening it. For starters, both the front wheel, and front panelling is all stuff packaged loose, then put on the figure to complete the conversion.Ordinarily, I wouldn't be bothered by “partsforming”, but must admit that I was hoping the front would integrate onto the figure in robot mode, too. The instruction (while not normally helpful due to Takara-Tomy/Hadsbro's allegy to verbal instructions and/or paper-saving instruction videos) were also by far the most and useless I've ever seen. Lastly, while you have to very heavily rely on alignment to turn it into the bike, literally nothing tabs in at all, making everything free to move, misalign, and go out-of-place.Going off to watch a video of it being transformed was also very much an enthusiasm killer, because even when literally everything was done specifically as instructed, the clip-on headlight block did not align with anything, be these the handlebars, L-shaped notch above, or straight tab below, the L being completely aligned above the line-tab on-figure, but tab behind-and-below the L on the part itself. Thus, this is why I only show the robot mode in the product images: it was literally impossible for it to be transformed into the mode I bought it almost-entirely for. As such, this was pretty much nothing but a colossal disappointment to me, and one that I will be sending back as a defective unit.
