300 Beers to Try Before You Die! Paperback – Illustrated, March 15, 2010

I gave this book, along with 8 beer mugs (also purchased from Amazon) as a birthday gift for a beer-loving friend. She's travelled the world and has always sampled the foreign beers during her travels and didn't recognize many of the beers listed in this book (which was great!).Needless to say, this book piqued her - and most of my other co-worker's - curiousity and I do believe it has started a "treasure hunt" of sorts to locate some of the more obscure beers mentioned.This was a top-notch gift and a conversation piece as well.

Good book. Not a picture for every beer but good information and a good price. I would recommend it to others.

We like beer and drink good beers whenever possible. This book published by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) in England has steered us to some really good brews. The selections are not restricted to just Europe. There a fair number of US & Canadian beers included in the reviews as well as Mexico, Brazil, Japan and Australia. All of the selections we have tried have lived up to their ratings. If you really like beer - let this be your tour guide.

My husband loves this gift. We found quite a few beers from the list on a trip to a few local liquor stores. Each page is dedicated to one of the 300 beers with a picture of it and a place to write reviews and grade it. Back of the book has two checklists, one with beer listed by country of origin and the other with beer listed by maker.

This book is amazing! There are so many great types of beer it will make your head spin. I am slowly working my way through the book one beer at a time and I'm using their grading system to remind myself if the beer was worth buying again. So far, they're all worth buying again.

I purchased two of these as Christmas presents. No I would like one for me. It's just a fun thing to think about and when I visit places I will be checking to see what might be close by!

Bought as a gift for my brother who likes craft beer, and specialty beers. He loved it, and enjoyed the notes section that comes alongside each beer.

Good if you're traveling the world, especially the British Isles. Seems to have every craft beer every produced in England, Ireland, etc, and great way to find some wonderful pubs. For those staying home, it's fun to read and imparts lots of info on beer and beer-making.

Cannot recommend this highly enough. Some old favourite beers and some new. Has opened our eyes to lots of new beers, some of which have become new favourites. The book even came on holiday with us so we could pick up beers not easily available in this country. Great present idea - this book and a 'starter pack' of beer chosen by you.

I ordered this for gift for a friend at Christmas along with some of the beers out of the book to start them off!Quick delivery and great book. I had a little flick through and found it quite interesting and I don't like beer! : )

I bought this for a friend and my hubby was jealous, so I bought another copy for him for Xmas. He loves it and as a 'real ale' drinker, refers to it all the time. I reckon it was his favourite present this last Xmas! A great present and a very useful guide for any beer drinker.

Despite initially dismissing this book, my husband is frequently found flicking through it and is now actively pursuing the different beers suggested in it....and ticking them off when he has tried them!! So, in my opinion a great present for anyone interested in trying different beers.

A lovely book and well received gift of a beer lover. Gave it with half a dozen of the beers featured and was a lovely gift. Great Quality and very informative. Good fun to do.
