Easy Alexa setup
My computer speakers don't have an easily accessible power switch, so I've been looking for a solution. I had a semi-smart switch, but it requires a remote and I often misplace it. I wanted something with voice control, so when I read that it would work with Alexa I decided to try it. To my surprise, connecting it to the Echo was simple; it took less than five minutes to connect the speaker, give it a name the Echo would recognize and that's all it took. Now it's just "Alexa, turn on Monsoon," and it works instantly. I can turn it on and off from anywhere in the house, just by voice. Very cool!

too many phone permission
The app to set this up wants full access to everything on your phone. sorry, you don't need access to my camera and text messages to set up an outlet. unless you're a chinese scammer stealing information. why would you pay for putting a virus on your phone.

Sturdy
Works great. We use this in the babies room to turn on the light hands free. I also like the USB plug on the side because the salt rock lamp I have uses a USB plug. Great buy

There is no reason this item needs to be so ...
There is no reason this item needs to be so high and block two outlets. This was not mentioned in the description, in fact, just the opposite, it's described as a "mini-plug".

Nice plug. Works really well. Exactly what I wanted... Except it said it has energy monitoring but I don't see it anywhere

Convienient and simple
this is a pretty nice smart outlet. it works well and it isn't frustrating to set up. I connected it via the smarthome app and further connected it to my google home mini. That all process was done easily. The outlet does take up space because of its size so you will not be able to pug in anything under it, however, the two USB ports on the side are very convenient which makes up for it

This smart outlet is amazing! the set up is nice and easy and starts working in no time. It connects to both Amazon Alexa and Google. It is so helpful and makes my life a lot easier.

Total piece of junk.
Amazon or Smart Things app will not connect to this product. Followed instructions and app never finds this product. Save your money and do not buy this.
