Overall a good film. The racing scenes are done great, although at times the overlay of the game during some scenes gets annoying. If this would of been done once it probably wouldn't have been so bad, but it makes the film occasionally be cheesy rather than cool!The storyline is pretty cool, although they have made it using the latest game and appears that it happened recently rather than going back to the actual time period to make it more genuine and true to what the gamers originally went through.The cast is pretty cool overall, with the main characters well portrayed in general, although something is a little off with Orlando Bloom, but I cannot make my mind up why! Was the actual guy this back and forth (he was the guy who thought up GT Academy for Nissan) as through out the film he appeared to be supportive of the main driver then not be, then loves him again!!There are times when they should of gone deeper with the story, but it was like they just wanted to get to the Academy itself quicker rather than set up characters more interestingly.But I enjoyed the movie and would probably watch it again.

I remember hearing about this when it happened but didn't know it was going to be made into a film.It was very heart warming to see the scene comparison photos with the real people at the end, and to hear that Jann did a lot of the stunt driving in the film.The story is inspiring and motivational, it's heart warming to see the developing relationship of Jann and his dad. All things you expect to see in any fictional movie, made much better when you know it's based on a true story.There are a few scenes in the film where the action morphs into a game, with a HUD over the screen, I'm a gamer and I really liked this. There are a few little references that gamers will notice that make you smile too.And... when I watched it I was waiting the deliver of my new Fanatec wheel! The exact same one that Jann opens in the first scene! So that was very exciting!! Mine arrived a couple of days later :)Overall this was a well made feel good movie with decent game references that gamers will appreciate and a very inspiring and motivational story. Who wouldn't want to be Jann! What an incredible experience!!

It's ok, decent cast but suffers from the same thing that 99.9% of racing movies suffer from, the action isn't life-like at all. That said, there are some nice CG angles on show here, but it's just going to make youngsters that there's a shortcut to a real career that enables them to bypass learning a 'trade' for real and gaining experience the right way 😁
