Before i buy i want to know if this works for thick wavy/curly hair? if i curl or straighten my hair, will it look obvious that i have hairspray in?

What is the difference in this hairspray and the other style from loreal called lockit bold? also did they stop making the lockit hair gel #5?

Is it best to apply the spray before or after styling?
