The product suits my needs for wiring LED strip lights in display cabinets.

Yikes. Be careful when using these for full LED strips. The lead wires are very thin (maybe 22-24 gauge) and overheated within an hour of using on my 12v leds. Had I not been watching closely, it could've started a fire.Should've heeded the warnings from a few reviews as others reported issues when powering 2+ amps. Returning this product to purchase a more robust option.

Use with heat shrink, but solder better

-1 star because the first one I hooked up didn't work at all. I tried the 2nd one and wallah! I'm using this to provide power to motorshield on Arduino (9v 1.5A DC PSU). Works perfectly.

They are great for a tiny pet project, but do not expect to wire a full strip of LEDs to this. I started noticing issues around 3A (which is a lot).These are perfect for shorter strips, or other projects, don't get me wrong.If you need 5A (a full 16.2ft/5m RGB LED Strip), you need thicker wire. A number of people specifically sell Male/Female barrel jacks leads rated for 5A.

We have a lot of 12 VDC devices around the house for security and automation. I always have plenty of the male 2.1 x 5.5 mm connector but this package included female as well which is just what I needed for two new gadgets I added.

Plan to use for remote control of external hard drives. Ordered more than I needed but I'm pretty sure they will eventually be used for something.

Wire are 18 gauge so you can solder them without burning the plastic off them.They are better quality than i Expected !!! Will buy again

Simple products that do their job.The male portion is a bit longer than normal, but it serves its purpose.
