Like their artisanal seasoning blends gift set, these come packed in a very nice medium sized metal tin with a friction fit slide on lid. The individual small cans come with the spices blends inside each of them, with the spices sealed in a plastic bag that you have to empty into the cans. The shaker cans are just a little over 6 cm in diameter and about 5 cm tall. The lids on the containers has a very good fit that is firmly on, yet easily turned. The sides of the lids have two different shaker openings which you have to twist to open so you can shake the spices out. The one has four small holes about 2 mm in diameter each and the other has a single large opening about 5 mm x 15 mm. I wouldn't use the 2mm holes to shake out the spices in some of the blends as they have quite large spice particles that won't come out of the holes easily.The cans are well labeled with all the information on the ingredients and nutrition information. The magnets on the bottoms of the cans vary in strength. Some hold really well to the side of the refrigerator and I have no fears they'll fall or get knocked off. However some have a fairly weak hold and I'm not certain they'll stay in place. It's doesn't take much force to pull them off.As for the spice blends themselves they are all very good blends that taste like they are labelled as. They are all tasty blends of sauces and I particularly like the Red Hot Ranch and the two Pesto blends. I'm not a fan of the Jalapeno Lime Ranch.So they are good spices, however you are definitely paying for the packaging here. I think they could provide significantly more for the same price if they did away with the fancy packaging. I would like to see them sell the spices themselves without the cans so that you can refill the cans when they are empty. It's a huge waste of the magnetized shaker cans if they don't and there really isn't a huge amount of spices in the cans. 1.6 ounces is a fairly small amount for the price. As it is, they only fill the cans about half way when you empty the packet into them.All said and done, if they do make the spice blends available separately so you can refill and reuse the shaker tins, they are a great value as a starter set. However I don't see anything on their Amazon store that indicates you can purchase the spice blends without the cans. It's bad for the environment and I don't like paying mostly for packaging and not the product I'm actually purchasing. These would easily be a 5 star rating if the spices were available separately.

I LOVE this gift set. My only disappointment being lactose intolerant is that most of them contain milk. Only the french onion seasoning does not have milk.Upon receiving, I took it out of the box:My first impression was "OH!". It is a silver tin. This is ready for gift giving. All I have to do is pop a bow on it.I opened the tin up:There is a white bow inside the tin that I can pop on the outside of the tin. I take a peek inside. All of the jars are magnetized. I can put them on my fridge upstairs or downstairs. I checked the magnet. They really do stick to my fridge. I can stack them in my spice cupboard (if I only had room). Each is a tin jar. The lid twists off. Inside, there is a plastic sealed bag of each of the spices. Each spice is labeled with the name, ingredients, nutrition information and foods they recommend for it.How I tasted it:I did not taste all of them. Instead I went for the jalapeno lime ranch.If I were not lactose intolerant, I would go for the sour cream or sour cream, cream cheese and mayo.Being lactose intolerant I have figured out how to make really good dips/sauces. I mixed about a 1/4 cup of mayo along with about 2 Tablespoons of my coconut yoghurt. This gives about the same texture as a sour cream. A little thinner. I can add a little liquid to make it into a dressing.I let it sit for about 30 minutes. Grabbed a cracker and tasted. This tastes AWESOME! I chose the jalapeno lime ranch because I wanted to check the heat level. This has a little heat. I would put it at about a 3 on a 1 to 10 scale. The heat doesn't build as much but does sit in the mouth and takes a few minutes to clear out. The flavor is perfectly balanced with heat and salt. The lime doesn't overwhelm but brings out the flavors. All the spices blend together to make a very tasty dip. It tastes like a spicier ranch dip/dressing.5 stars easily because I can't stop eating it. It is easy to make. Doesn't have to sit a long period of time. The flavor comes through in less than 30 minutes.Tonight I am serving this along side fajitas as a topping. That is what I also love about it. Very versatile and can dress up dinners!

This gift set consists of eight magnetic two-piece spice-filled tins and all are neatly contained within a larger metal tin. Included in the seasoning sauce set are French Onion, Creamy Truffled Ranch, Jalapeno Lime Ranch, Red Hot Ranch, Cool Ranch, Spicy Green Pesto, Roasted Red Pesto and Not Just For Salad Caesar. The flavors are very good and the blends a time saver versus custom mixing spices.They can also be used for more than sauce/dressing creations. For example they are also good sprinkled on vegetables, popcorn, meats, etc. and a visual guide is printed on each tin providing suggestions for use. The tins arrive within a larger silver tin with the lid tightly taped down and under the lid is a flattened pre-made star bow.Each of the spice tins has a magnetic base that bonds them together securely for stacking or they may be placed on the refrigerator. Inside the tins the spice blends are in either a cellophane or plastic bag. The tin has both an oval and shaker opening for dispensing which is revealed when the cap is turned and matched up with the oval opening on the lip of the tin.Although it appears the intention is to empty the bag directly in the tin I will probably repackage the spices in small re-sealable zip-lock bags both for freshness and to avoid spills, so I won’t be using the cap openings. The weight of the contents varies based on the elements used in the sauce blends but the tin size is consistent—2 3/8 inches tall and 2 3/8 inches in diameter.The magnetic tins stick firmly to appliances like the refrigerator or other metal surfaces. I slammed the refrigerator door a few times trying to dislodge them but they did not budge. The only small quibbles are the tape holding the large tin’s lid in place was difficult to remove and left a residue—and the included star bow, while a nice touch arrived squashed flat.To estimate shelf-life at the time of this review in October 2021 the Best By date is 23 months in the future but dates will vary. Overall excellent quality seasoning blends.

I admit to having cooking ennui the last few years after shutdown. Our habits are for eating at home more than they used to be. But I get bored with the same old stuff. Different seasonings is a fun way to experiment and switch things up. These seasonings come in handy containers. The price seems high but when I did a cost comparison for seasonings amounts and container quality, it's actually quite fair. What we've used so far has been flavorful and interesting. My only real complaint is that there are no recipe or use recommendations. How much to use? I am an experienced cook but these were challenging to know good amounts for recipes. A sample recipe for each mix would provide some guidance to estimate amounts and portions. I'm willing to play with these but I don't want to accidentally over season something either. I got two different sets from this company--Sauce Lovers Gift Set and Everything But The... I do like both but admit the sauces one has been more inspirational for me, probably because the ones in the Everything But The... offer alternatives for recipes that I've mastered, not anything to unusual. The sauces one has some very new flavor profiles for my kitchen. However, I wish some of these had less heat added so I could control the heat better myself since we have some sensitive tongues and tummies in our family.
