Excellent gel for braiding hair.
There is only one edge gel that I have ever tried that does anything to lay my edges down and keep them there. That's Shea Moisture's edge gel. Everything else is for braids. My edges laugh at this in a couple of hours, and just curl back up. But as a braiding gel, this is absolutely fine. It holds natural hair neatly in place while I braid so that my braids look incredible once they're finished. It adds a little bit of moisture to hair and doesn't leave it dry and crunchy.The "gummy bear" scent smells a little bit like artificial watermelon flavor. It's not the worst, though not my favorite fragrance.One thing that Smokkin got absolutely right - the tub is wider than it is tall. It's so very easy to get the gel out, even when you're near the end. For that reason alone, I'd buy this as a braiding gel again.
