Got the job done
Just drove nearly 900 miles & this has held up great only issue we had was the straps blowing in the wind & after taping them together the noise stopped didn’t have any issues other than that.. the straps didn’t move it’s very big & sturdy. We packed a double stroller in it, a bag & also a pack n play fit all of it perfectly. Would highly recommend this for the price!

It’s water proof
It was a hassle trying to tighten the straps finally got it

Meh. Holds a ton of stuff but requires perfect weather.
Pros: massive capacity, easy to install or remove, multiple anchor pointsCons: flops around unless absolutely full, not at all water tight (your stuff will be soaked/ruined), loose end of straps flop around and make noise while driving

Good protection but not 100% watertight
I used this on a trip from Pennsylvania to Maine through a thunderstorm the entire time. Most of my cargo was dry but I did notice some minor leakage through the zipper itself. Overall it does the job. Next time I would put another layer of waterproof (trash bag or tarp) around the inside of the zipper to prevent seepage.

Way more rugged than expected.
I took this thing on a 1700 mile road trip through rain sleet snow and high winds. I was nervous. I didn't expect it to be waterproof, it is! I used it without crossbars and I was nervous but it stayed on. And I didn't have to adjust the tension in the straps much tho I checked it quite a bit. I fit an inflatable 2 up kayak in here along with a backpack a carryon duffel bag, a tent, and a big sterilite container and everything fit, tho I think adding the backpack and the additional duffel bag was pushing the limit lol. Things shifted around a bit inside. That was one of the reasons I added some extra stuff because I was afraid without it, that would be an issue. My gas mileage in my Jeep went from 30mpg to around 23mpg with this on top. And I also added additional shark bite style tethers to tie it into place. I merely put them through where the front and back straps would normally tie and then to the side rails. It was a bit noisy but that's okay. I'm not really planning on taking much of this stuff back with me. I will update with a lighter load, if there's a difference.

Cooler than I thought it would be. Heavy duty? Check.
I did not expect this to meet my thoughts of what I would want to use. If I would not wish to use it for myself I would not order it for my son. This was ordered for my older son's Kia Soul. He loves the outdoors and has always been challenged with space for travel and camping out. The overall size works great. The ruggedness is great. Still need to test how well it sheds water, however it looks like that will not be any concern. While this is more 'bag like' vs 'hard shell' that is for the best for us. Neither my son or I have any storage to speak of we have seperate extremely small apartments and a solid hard shell would not be easy to deal with. He nor I would wish to run a hard shell full time which would be the only means of storage. This folds up for much easier storage. When I first picked this up I was reminded of my first 2-3 man rubber raft. Thick heavy material.ProsHeavy weight for wear and hopefully not tearSoft bag style for easy storagePlenty of spaceNice included strapsConsHeavy weightToo big or too smallSoft bag vs hard shellPros and Cons ? I really did not know what to look for and am very pleased.

Poor
Quatily poor. Removed halfway point to Florida . Buckles do not hold tension on straps, 1 strap loop had detached from Bag, and zippers open by themselves from the wind. Very unsatisfactory.

Great to Have for Camping Trips and Traveling
We have been needing one of these rooftop cargo carriers for ages for all the camping trips we take, and this is a solid option. This soft-sided carrier basically becomes an extra trunk when packed well. It’s unbelievable how much you can pack out onto the roof in this carrier, and it literally makes the trunk load of stuff “disappear.” It has a nice, thick feeling vinyl with sealed seams and the zippers feel watertight (haven’t had to use it in the rain yet though). The soft bottom is a nice touch to help protect the vehicle roof, too. Also, strapping it down seems to take a while at first, but it gets much quicker after figuring out the technique for your vehicle. The buckles hold down as tightly as you can get them and stay secured. Plus, I like how storable this carrier is when we’re not using it.
