Headrest slots in on the first set of larger circles on the clips. They are thick rubbery plastic clips. Not brittle. Can be pushed flat against the headrest for even less vibration. Or pull out to be able to angled maybe 45 degrees with a 10in iPad horizontally viewed.The device slots in well. iPhone SE worked. ipad with bulky kid case. Adjusts thickness of the device well.

Easy to install with a strong grip. The jaws are wide enough for mostly any tablet you might want to use.One annoyance is that it does rattle sometimes, from car vibrations; it mainly does this when the adjustable clips for thicker tablets are extended. I didn't figure out a fix for that other than taking the case off of the tablet first so the clips wouldn't need to be extended.

I bought it a while back. Almost 6 months ago and it’s still steardy. Even though I have a 3 year old who loves to pull the tablet away from it but so far it has not break. Best purchase ever!
