It works okay, but buyers should be aware that although the sound reduction with the silencer is considerable, the sound produced is still relatively loud such that for example it could not be played in the middle of the night in an apartment or hotel room and be confident it would not disturb anyone. The exercise however are very beneficial and have improved my altissimo playing after just a couple of serious practice sessions with the silencer.

Good silencer, shame about the disc...
The silencer does what I want it to, so no problems there. I am rather frustrated with the disc that comes with it though. It won't play. I hope I can get saxlab to send a replacement.

The silencer is an incredibly helpful practising tool. Effectively reduces sound from mouthpiece by about 50% and is great for improving embouchure and overall tone quality. The attachments for soprano, alto, tenor, baritone sax and clarinet (two different sizes for clarinet mouthpieces) fit great! A well-designed and very well thought-out product. Get one!
