Easy to use
This is so much better than the other tape insulation , it’s so easy to install , you just peel it and that’s all.

For thin pipe
I bought these to cover a 1" supply pipe There is plenty of room for that, but NOT with heat tape, so that is a bit of an issue. That being said, they foil cover on these wraps all the way around so hopefully that will keep the pipes warm. The segments are 18" long, which is a bit problematic for very long expanses of pipe because there are all of those gaps between segments. I wrapped duct tape at the joints to try and mitigate that problem. The foam insulation is about 1/2" and should be plenty. Overall, these are great for small supply pipes, but since you can't use them with heat tape, I am not sure if they will keep my pipes running in the coldest weather.

Good quality pipe insulation wraps and easy to install
The foam is nice and dense, and a good thickness. As you can see in the photo, the material is compact and should insulate the pipes quite effectively. The cutout slit is perfectly sized to fit over the pipes running underneath my house, which made installation a breeze. The aluminum wrap outside of the foam is adhered to the foam very well, and the exposed section of the aluminum on the underside is removed to expose the adhesive. Once you get the foam pieces seated on the pipe, you unwrap the film to expose the adhesive, and wrap that over, and you have a tight fit and are DONE! The hardest part of the job was maneuvering under the house to access the pipes. This was a project I have been putting off for far too long, and these were a quick, easy solution to protect my pipes during the upcoming freezing temperatures.

Pipe bursted at the first hard freeze of the year
I purchased and installed this pipe protector less than two weeks ago. Last night we had a hard freeze (~17 F) and the pipe froze and bursted when the temperature climbed back up.
