Kellogg's Special K Protein Bar 16 CT (1.59 lbs) - New Meal Bar

I just ate one bar and called Kellogg's 800 number to tell them that there is no excuse for having 15 grams of sugar in a bar that is sold to people who are health conscious. I could only taste a mouthful of sugar, not Chocolate. So what nerve they have to call it Double Chocolate and not have even a hint of chocolate flavor. The bar actually has no chocolate in it, so it made perfect sense that I could not taste it. the lack of chocolate flavor is the least of it, the bar tastes like you have a mouth full of sugar. Sugar is one of the things I swore off when I decided to get in shape. Here is the kicker, no, they did not offer to refund my money with any coupons, or in any other way. I felt bad for the company that makes the bar that I love, it is made by a company In NY, and I saw an 800 number on their bar, so I called to tell them how much I liked their product. They told me they wanted to send me some coupons toward the purchase of their products. So one of the biggest companies on earth took my information and complaint and said thanks and goodbye, and the no-name company gave me coupons for their product.

These are good tasting bars, but I regularly get these from Sam's club for about $11, for the same box. I have been buying them for about a year now.

I love these bars!! But this price is ridiculous! You can purchase this same 16-count box of Special K protein bars at Sam's club for just over $11. And no shipping. In fact, you can purchase 3 6-count boxes of these protein bars at Target for $18. Buy the bars, but not here!

These bars are quite tasty and filling - a great tasting option for someone concerned about nutrition and/or weight loss. I really like the chocolate peanut butter bars, which taste like Little Debbie Nutty Bars. The double chocolate flavor is good, too, I just don't find it quite as satisfying. (No childhood nostalgia with that one.)Unfortunately, this is an overpriced way to buy them, especially after you add in shipping. I buy this same box for $11 at my military base commissary. You can also buy smaller 6 CT boxes of just the chocolate peanut butter flavor at just about any grocery store. There are also some other Amazon.com venders[...] selling just the chocolate peanut butter flavor. So shop around if you think you'd like to try these.
