I hung them at about 20 ft up in a tree above my patio and they resonate through my house, and entire yard. They are deep enough tones to now keep you awake and loud enough to create an amazing space for relaxing.Also I personally as a aircraft mechanic, saw nothing wrong with the chimes design wise. Just a nice set.Woodstock’s choice of notes is superb as well. I have heard the corinthian bells line of chimes and I didn’t like the chords that they used.I only wish they made a chime bigger then the king David to compliment this chime!

Absolutely love these chimes
Absolutely love these chimes! We live in an area that is frequently breezy and windy so we wanted something heavy and substantial. These definitely are. My only "complaint" is that they are very loud. I expected them to be loud, but I still found it a bit surprising. We had to hang them on the side of the house that is open to the street so that they do not bother our neighbors (or us while in bed at night). We have 1/4 acre corner lot. If you live in a tight housing development, you may want to think twice about these. You're likely to be very unpopular with your neighbors.

Worth every penny.
If you are examining the product description of a wind chime this expensive, you are VERY serious about wind chimes! I am, too. I've never heard anything as nice as the sound of this chime. It is deep, melodic, and extremely resonant.Woodstock makes many high-quality chimes, and this one is no exception. It is clearly built to last, with tough, nylon strings, a composite (NOT WOOD) ringer, and a metal (again, NOT WOOD) suspension ring. We purchased ours to replace a Woodstock chime which had a wooden suspension ring and ringer. It faded and cracked after several years in direct sunlight, so we were interested in purchasing one which would remain nice-looking without maintenance.If you are thinking about purchasing this chime, hanging location and hardware are an important consideration due to its size. It is about 70"H from the top of the hanging knot to the bottom edge of the sail and 13"W. It is quite heavy (manufacturer says it weighs 18.5 lbs, but I didn't weigh it). The sail is quite large, so it rings (and RESONATES!) often in my moderately breezy location.You really shouldn't buy a chime without hearing it, of course! Wonderful Beautiful Chime
Beautiful and calming chime. The tones resonate long almost going on forever. Total Zen. Sturdy construction with a hefty weight. I hung it from a tree approximately 7' from the ground. The wind catcher works great at that height. Highly recommend this chime.

Memorial in chimes
Purchased these wind chimes in black as a memorial for my wonderful black Friesian stallion who died unexpectedly. I absolutely love the wind chimes and the baritone sounds are very rich and melodic. I've seen these chimes in person, but of course, you can't beat the price on Amazon. The mat black finish is better than expected, and a fitting tribute to my horse. I have them right outside the kitchen window so when I look out toward the now empty pasture, I can see these black chimes. And when the wind picks up, I remind myself how lucky I was to have taken care of this animal. Whatever you purchase your chimes for, you'll be surprised how lovely and well made these chimes are. Really the top of the line.

Absolutely beautiful
These chimes are amazing. You're probably looking at the cost and puking a little in your mouth, but they are well worth every dime. By far the most beautiful wind chimes I've ever heard. The tone is deep and resonates with a gorgeous melody.They are an investment for sure, but the quality of materials and sound are well worth it.
