Before ordering, we had some concern about the 1/2 inch being thick enough until we noted that our old big-box mats were about the same thickness and seemed sufficient. Bought three of these (in the cranberry color) to replace those old mats in our kitchen. We are very pleased with the product and happy that they are made in Texas. They are comfortable to stand on for long periods, are a good thickness, and make a nice walking path. The beveled edges significantly reduce the tripping hazard we sometimes had with our old mats. The look is elegant and they easily wipe clean. They do not slip around, but they do tend to slowly "migrate" across our laminate floor in the direction of regular foot traffic. This requires minor daily repositioning, but it is easy to do and we prefer that to having them literally stuck to the floor like the old mats. We definitely recommend!

The mat is comfortable to stand on for hours while working in my kitchen. I love the length! It covers almost the entire length of my row of cabinets; so, whether I'm working at the sink or preparing meals at the counter, the mat is reducing my foot and ankle fatigue. I've had other anti-fatigue mats before, and this one is the most durable and thick. The color (I ordered deep brown) also blends beautifully with my kitchen's hardwood floor. Easy to clean, too. I was careful to choose a mat that didn't have high texture because of cleaning ease, and this one is perfect.

This comfortable mat is an absolute must have if you are often in your kitchen. It’s not only comfy to stand on but it will look great too. I’ve had decorative mats in my kitchen but nothing that was comfortable to stand on. I have plantar fasciitis and this helps take pressure off of my foot. Not saying it brings any kind of healing or this is the answer to your foot problem. As for me it just brings relief when I’m on my feet for a long period of time in my kitchen. Worth the price. Great quality!

Great product. They are easy to clean and my dogs love to lay on them. The only thing I don’t like is they tend to slide and not stay in place.

I've never had a good kitchen mat.. We bought a cabin in Alaska and I knew I was going to try a lot of new recipes so I decided to take care of myself and get a good kitchen mat. The mat that was as long as I needed was way more expensive, so I got 2 of these and they work perfectly. I used carpet/mat tape for hard floors because they slipped but that was to be expected. Next time I might move them a tiny bit closer to the wall, but you don't stand so close to the counter, so I put them a little bit away. They are sort of narrow, but it really doesn't make a difference if you place them hiw you walk and stand! next to the counter. I love them and search for more sizes for other parts of the cabin. The picture shows 2 together and will save you money if you don't mind the seem... I got it more for my comfort while cooking than to be showy... :)

So when this was delivered it was rolled up which made the edges flatten out and I was really afraid that it wouldn't regain its original shape - but in less than 24 hours it was perfect! Very easy to clean, holds 3 pairs of shoes for us and the lips catches any sand/water that might be brought in. Great purchase!

I spend a lot of time on my feet in the kitchen and this mat has been a lifesaver! I finally gave in and purchased this because I couldn't find a comparable mat anywhere else. The cushion that this mat provides allows me to be on my feet for an extended period of time without my feet getting sore. Another plus is that it is easy to clean. Aesthetically, it looks great - I was concerned that the cranberry color would look cheap but that is certainly not the case.

The illustration shows the mat barely compressed between two fingers. That is misleading because it compresses to almost nothing when squeezed lightly. I have a mat from a different maker as well, and the inferior quality of this NewLife mat is stunning.

We returned this mat to the supplier for a refund. It didn’t have much support for someone who bakes and stands in one place for a long period of time
