Sole ripping all the way across in less than 2 months.
These are my second pair in 7 months. Both having the same issue of failure. Thought the first pair was a fluke issue so I didn't bother hassling. Second pair developed the same issue within 2 months!!! I've been getting the exact same pair of boots for years and every one of them has lasted me well over a year, to the point that the bottom sole is bald before I replace them. The quality of the materials seem to have gone downhill a ton. Both the left and the right boot have developed a tear all the way across the bottom sole. I work on flat concrete in a shop and after work they come right off. So with minimal use the issue has happened again. I want my money back!!!!

Superior comfort, better than running shoes, coming from a guy who weighs 190lbs and walks atleast 10 hours a day on concrete.
So I've had these boots for about two months now, 1 month of daily wear. I work indoors on concrete, 10 hour shift and do at least 10 miles a day sometimes 15. I wore these for my first week and the next week I wore some Nike running shoes that actually cost more than these boots just to see if there was a difference. There was, a huge difference. The boots 100% are better than the nike shoes. I weigh 190lbs and that just crushed the nike shoes. Every step I took I could feel the sole just squish down offering 0 support for my heels. What you'll immediately notice about these boots is that the soles are super thick. Maybe a little to excessive but its like that for a reason. When I walk with these its super comfortable, perfect toe space, and because of the thick sole, awesome amount of support for a big guy. I have feet pain every evening when I get out of work with these boots but thats to be expected when you walk that amount everyday. When I wear my Nike running shoes, the pain is unbearable and I feel it right away. Hands down Id take these boots over running shoes any day. The support is there, the protection is there. It has happened to me numerous times when walking around wooden pallets, while wearing mesh running shoes, a piece of wood or nail sticking out catches the mesh and makes me trip. With these leather boots, never happens. These are only my second pair of work boots so I can't really comment on the quality of leather, but I can say it feels nice and smooth. It does get scuffed up really easy but who cares, these boots are for aesthetic appeal. They have good traction as well. I still have the original insoles and they seem to work just fine. I wouldn't consider switching them out until they're wore out. The only thing I did not like where the laces, they just felt cheap, I swapped them out from the laces on a moc toe boot from Academy that I bought a while ago that didn't last but the laces where nice.

Oh Wolverine, what happened to you?
This model was my go-to work boot for several years. At this price they were a good value. It seems that Wolverine made some very noticeable changes in this model to cut costs. After a real try to break them in I have given up on them. The comfort and feel that made this a nice value is no longer there.

Boot Began to Break on First Wear
My husband is an union carpenter and was in need of a new pair of work boots. He liked the look of the Irish Setters but we didn't like to price- so we went with the Wolverine look-a-like. Boy, did we go wrong. The first pair we ordered a size 12 which is his normal boot size but they were way too big. We then ordered a second pair a whole size down. This pair fit but began breaking the first day he wore them. Yes, he does have laborious job and works on a roof at times but they're supposed to be the "Ultimate American Work Boots".I will not be ordering Wolverine boots again. This was unacceptable. The $30-$50 more that you would spend on Red Wings will be well worth it. (Or take your chance....maybe we somehow got a defective pair).UPDATE: we kept the boots and a month and a half later the whole sole cracked. I also received no feed back for my first complaint. Really want my money back.

Awesome Boots
These boots are way better than I had expected. I've had $200 Redwings and Timberlands and after wearing these for 2 days I am much happier than I ever was with the others. How long they last is yet to be seen but right off the bat they're very comfortable and light. I ordered brown and they're more of a orangish brown than I'd like but I can live with that. I'll write an update after a couple months and see where the boots are at then but first impression is that for the price, they can't be beat. Note: I wear a 10 shoe and I ordered the 10 boot, 9.5 might have been a perfect fit but the 10 feels really good so I'd say they might run a tad large but not a full size no way. I guess everyone has a preference in how they like boots to fit. These are great boots, oil them up and you're good to go.

There not made the same as they used to be
What happened to this brand? I have been using wolverines for the past 4 years . It looks like they changed the country where they make them and something has gone wrong. The treads on the bottom of the boots don’t wear out like they used to they break in two spots. One right where the toes are at and a second towards the back. This did not happen to the older ones. But did happen to 2 pairs of the newer ones made in Guatemala.

Great for standing, terrible for walking
Possibly because my feet are not the standard size, possibly because these boots have a different shape, but I had a terrible time wearing these. My heel got chafed like heck and so did the outside of my big toe. Hence, I found these terrible for walking. But really great for standing! I spend 12 hours pretty much standing in front of a press and my feet felt great. But the moment I start walking, the rubbing starts, and it's not good. Very nice otherwise, good construction, no loose threads, good laces. I will donate these, hopefully, someone will enjoy them. Back to Caterpillar boots...

Worst boots ever!
I have been hesitant about writing a review on these because I didn’t want to bash them. But my feet haven’t been normal since I wore these last summer for a brief period of time. I’m pretty sure they are fake possibly a super fake Chinese knock off. Everything was bad. No cushion in the sole, no side support. Fit weird (kept catching my P.O. my toe nail on the steel toe) I wore them anyways but I couldn’t stand them. And I felt like I couldn’t send them back so I wore them. Everyone is different so maybe you’ll like them if you buy them.

MASSIVE don't fit my sising
I'm size 9 UK I ordered accordingly, they came back stating 9 BUT were over inch too big, MASSIVE, I told them, they accepted return, BUT it cost me £13 to send, I'm too scared to send for a smaller pair .... 1 star

Very comfortable
I was tired of buying cheap boots to work around the yard in. I saw these and decided to give them a try. I ordered the 12W after reading the reviews. The length is good and I'm sure the width will come open up a bit as they get broken in. The width is a little tight but my feet haven't been in a decent boot for many years. The fact that they are so comfortable makes up for the temporary width situation.Would buy these again.

A good light casual/work boot
Good boots, size run a bit big, more like dress shoes, I went down a half size and got a great fit. Leather is soft and didn't require any break in. The ankle section leather upper is quite soft so there isn't a huge amount of ankle support. Also the soles are relatively durable for general use, though I would not use them for heavy/industrial work boots.
