Castle Creations 011-0014-00cc 14 Series Blower for 36mm Motors

There is a noticeable difference between having this and not having it. My motor has never been above 120 F at any point with this fan, and I drive wide open. With a 100c 3s lipo it stays under 110 F. This $10 investment will keep your $100 motor alive. Its worth it for sure.

Installed it and one of the plastic things where the fan is broke and melted away it was good until that crap very disappointed....

Bottom line up front, mediocre performance.Pros: It does lower your temps and is easy to install.Cons: I got it 3 months ago and it already makes weird noises sometimes and sometimes gets slow (making a noise) and I have totap the car so it continues working.I have it on a slash 4x4 that is protected from dust and rocks by a fine nylon mesh shroud. It only gets really fine dust on the blades and I do clean it between runs with a blow gun when it gets dusty. I cant imagine how fast it will stop working if I don't keep the nylon shroud on and clean the excess dust off it.

Works great for cooling the castle sidewinder 3.only thing is I had to cut a little piece to fit on my smt10 theirs a tight fit.not much space.

I gave it two stars for the thought. The design and execution are questionable. The fan isn't impressive and the shroud, though good looking, by design, locks the heat around over half of the motor it's on, if it fails, all the heat builds up under it and can't get away from the motor. Remember, if your motor overheats, chances are it's going to take the ESC with it. It's really a shame because it's really good looking. I just don't have that kind of faith in a cheapo plastic chinese product, especially with a no name chinese fan on it. I realize chinese is the nature of the beast, but no point in asking for trouble. I have several coolers on open air aluminum heat sinks. I think i'll use those instead.

Great fan for the money and actually covers the motor, fits on the Velinion system, in the LCG chassis and the standard slash 4x4 nice very nicely. Have not ran it at the track yet, but it has to be better than nothing! Will not work with the slash 2wd.
