Nice Little Monitor
Really like this monitor, especially the bar at the bottom to give you the “bottom line up front” of the air quality in your home.Very clear display, and I know it works because the audible alarm went off and visually showed me the degraded air quality when my kitchen got quite smoky while cooking. The battery doesn’t last long, but I mostly leave it plugged in anyway. The cord plug in is oddly placed on top, I assume to keep the back clear for the sensor. This leaves kind of an odd aesthetic when it’s left plugged in, but on the functionality, it’s absolutely fantastic with telling you what you need to know about your air quality.

Reacts quickly to changes in the room
The iwaki [9-in-1] Carbon Monoxide detector is small, about 3.5” x 3.5” x 1.5”. On a full charge, it runs for about 8 hours. I’m in the room with it much more than 8 hours a day and I like watching to see how it reacts to things, so I leave it plugged into USB power all day. It measures 4 different hydrocarbon levels, 3 particulate size levels, as well as the temperature and humidity. It has an alarm, that can be silenced, if a range goes to a dangerous level. It is very responsive when something in the room changes, however I don’t know how accurate any reading really is. If the cats come into my office, the CO2 level rises, and actually I can get an idea of how many are in the room, on the other side of my desk. However, I’m unsure of actual readings. I was wiping something with isopropyl alcohol this morning, about 4 feet from the meter, when readings changed. Carbon Dioxide went into the 5,000’s ppm, Formaldehyde went up slightly and Total Volatile Organic Compounds went from 0.005 to about 0.875 mg/m3, Carbon Monoxide remained zero. The warning color bar at the bottom remained at mid-green (normal), no alarm activated. I learned previously if I use a small paint pen in the room, to turn off the audible alarm, as it will go off. So, now I’m at a point where I question the readings. CO2 should not have increased like that; it should have stayed fairly constant and the TVOC reading increase (as it did). If the meter sensed the CO2 level that high (even if false), should it have not sounded an alarm? Outside of instances like this, I really like this little meter and will keep it monitoring the air in my office.

Works well for what its used for
It does a good job once you figure it out- battery life is not great but its quite sensitive which is good. I bought this due to having CO concerns with natural gas heat, smells, headaches, sleepiness, etc. Thankfully no issues with that.

Too Tiny battery. Quiet alarm.
My review of: iwaki [9-in-1] Carbon Monoxide detectors. Portable CO Monitor not only detects Carbon Monoxide (CO) but Also Measures CO2, PM2.5, TVOC, HCHO, PM1.0, PM10, Perfect for Travelers/Indoor/Outdoor @$69.99I like the device, but for $70 I'd hope it would be more useable. The low capacity battery and quiet alarm hampers general usuability. You can't use it as an alarm -- The beep is no louder than my coffee pot. Sure, you'll hear it if you're in the same room, but it's no where near as loud as a typical fire alarm or home CO detector. The battery, as stated in the instructions, lasts no more than7-8 hours, which means you'll have to recharge at least 3 times a day, provided you don't sleep over 7 hours, or more practically leave it plugged in 24/7. It's slow to recharge, 2 hours maybe. The manual states this has to run for 24 hours to get a good sample that's not going to happen when it shuts off every 7 hours. It's an odd choice to have the detection vents on the back. People would tend to want to put this against a wall blocking the airflow and preventing it from detecting changes.Slightly odd choice to put the Particular Matter readings out of order. First is medium (2.5 μm), Second is small (1.0 μm) and third is large (10 μm). Maybe some people don't learn ABC's, but rather BCA's.This does looks great and seems to work -- I can only confirm the CO2, CO and Temperature myself. I like that it shows humidity. My idea is that to use it regularly, I need to leave it plugged in 24/7. Which means there no reason I wouldn't mount it, except that there's no mounting mechanism, and you can't put the back against the wall. So I guess stick it on a wide or desktop maybe a foot from the wall for fair airflow. But I'm not going to do that. My old house only has two outlets in most rooms, there's no reason for me to spare one for a quiet alarm that can't wake me up like any old $20 alarm will. I'll stick this in a drawer and turn it on when I want to check the humidity, and I thank it for letting me know my formaldehyde levels are not overwhelming. This may be more apt for someone to have on a bench or shelf their garage, when their working on their running car so they'd know when they need to open another windows or turn on another fan.
