KEENMen's Newport H2 Sandal

For wider feet.
The sandals in the half sizes are better for wide feet, especially if you use a larger size. The are comfortable and hard wearing. Great for long walks and hikes.

Comfort & quality
Plumped for these after a lot of research and couldn’t be happier, especially with the discounted price in Prime Week. Solid, quality construction, immediately comfortable (no need for breaking in), sizing is spot on and suitable for a wider foot.

Quality walking sandal but UK sizing needs adjustment
Arrived sooner than expected and quality good. Pleased with the delivery, colour, design, look and feel but they are too small and I’ve returned them for a larger size. My feet are regular Eu size 8. Taking advice from other reviewers I ordered a half size up. Not enough. I struggled to get them on as the heel strap has to be pulled up. Once in them, they were a very snug fit, comfortable but tight. I would possibly have kept them and worn them in if getting them on was easier. But then my other half tried them on. Slipped on no trouble. Perfect for a 7.5 sized foot. So in our case, one size up is needed, not one half.Ps: now have a size 9 and it fits perfectly. Thank you seller. However, from the slightly rumpled paper packaging and the loosened front loop, I think these have been sent out before to a customer and returned. It would help if the seller issued guidance on US vs UK sizing as continual return postage must be eating into their profitability, as well as causing inconvenience.

Keen Newport H2 review
My third pair of Newports. I’ve worn one pair out in two years and I walk a lot of miles as I love hiking and backpacking. My app tells me I average about 11-12 miles a day over a year. Use them all year round for walking around town, going to the pub, playing golf, hiking on trails in the mountains, etc. In winter I team them with waterproof socks.Pluses: extremely comfortable hiking sandals, very good toe protection, very durable and long-lasting. Fit true to size. The elastic tightener is reliable, doesn’t accidentally loosen and holds the foot in the footbed. Dry out quickly. Thick soles give loads of cushioning on rough ground. Can be washed clean easily when they get muddy.Negatives: Footbed is dimpled to aid grip and ventilation. When new it’s a little abrasive so I wear those invisible/ankle socks to reduce friction. Like all sandals little bits of stone can sneak in so I need to stop walking and give them a shake. Neither are serious issues.Personally I find driving a car when wearing them is ok but thick soles mean some adjustment to the driver’s seat is needed. They suit me perfectly and I trust them.

Most Comfortable Sandals I Have Ever Worn
I bought these sandals to wear when riding my ElliptiGO cycle in the hope that they might help prevent a problem I have with the soles of my feet burning up during an extended period of riding. Before trying them on the bike I put them on to wear in the house to 'break them in' and evaluate how my feet took to them. Satisfied, after five hours wearing them, I tried them on the bike, which is stationary - attached to a turbo-trainer in the garage for the winter. They remained comfortable during one hour of constant pedalling during that ride and have since managed to undertake up to three hours continuous pedalling before my feet started to burn! The wide fitting and ample toe-box is also worthy of mention, as it affords the room for the feet to expand and wriggle room for the toes during prolonged exercise, as well as working well with the toe-cages on my ElliptiGO.I wear the Keens without socks, use them daily in the house, as well as alternating them with trainers for my rides and they are still fresh and clean! The foot bed is extremely comfortable and my feet do not slide around. The elasticated upper too is very comfortable, despite me having a high instep. My high instep means that I have to use both hands to grip the front and rear tabs to open the sandal and pull it over my instep, but it is worth the effort to bathe my feet in comfort! I wear the Keens with the drawstrings loosened completely off to keep the pressure off my insteps (which also suffer from laces, when my feet swell), although I do tighten them before riding to prevent my toes from working their way up against the toe-box. With the drawstring slackened off, and my high instep, the elastic compression of the upper is sufficient for everyday walking.

Excellent adventure shoes!
I bought these for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica after reading about them on a Costa Rica travel blog. I already own Keen hiking shoes and they are literally the best shoes I’ve ever owned. These sandals are incredible! The fit and comfort are great, and I love that they can be both water shoes and used for all types of hiking as well. Huge thumbs up!!

Comfortable and durable
Had a pair of these for years and years, durable sole, comfortable, decent arch support, and provides some protection for your foot. My only complaint is the toe cap captures debris and will not let it go. Sand especially will pack hard into the toe cap until you have to remove the sandal. Surprised they haven't created some holes or slots to help alleviate that problem yet.Bought a pair of Teva after my Keens wore out since I'd heard good things about them for years and they absolutely destroyed my feet whether the straps were tight, loose or somewhere in between.
