Most comfortable type-1 hard hat, suspension system wraps around head perfectly when tightened with ratchet. Lightweight enough and artificial leather might not be durable as plastic and foam but breathe better and feels better. Great overall!

Best hard hat I've ever had

After an accident at work my husband needed a new hard hat. We found these and he absolutely loves it. It is comfortable and fits correctly. I have ended up getting one for a coworker as well. Great value for the money.

Hubby loves his hat

Overall this is a good, comfortable hat. It's a good fit for the larger sized heads. I've had other similar hats that said up to 8 inches but barely fit 71/2. I don't have this problem with this hat. There's even room for a nice sweatband. The construction is good and durable. Now, the issues I have are with the suspension system. It is very flimsy. Parts of it will become disconnected and you will have to put it back together. I had this problem with other brands in the past also so this is not a deal breaker. The ratchet system is easy to use but it is the most flimsy part of the suspension system. Where other are more robust in this area, this one is not. Having said this, while it is on your head the hat will not move. You do not have to overly tighten the ratchet system anymore than normal for you. It works like it's supposed to while on you head. It's a good, light comfortable hat.

The media could not be loaded. Pros:Hard hat shell is lightweight and well made. Slick design.Cons:The harness seems to sacrifice durability with the intent to increase comfort and customization. The ratchet also slips so that the harness loosens on its own. The sweatband and attachment points (the metal clips) at the forehead are very uncomfortable during the break-in period.First couple weeks of use:One of the metal attachment clips does not lock onto the attachment point fixed to the hard hat. This is probably a one-in-so many occurrences though. The plastic piece that appears to hold the ratchet body away from the head also split prematurely and fell off. (stock photo is included for comparison) Not sure why it's really there or why it could've happened - I take good care of my things.The little silicone brim grips are also loose.Few months of use:Occasionally the clips at the forehead still cause discomfort due to the need to wear the hat slightly tighter because of the ratchet not locking well.Suggestion:Perhaps consider simplifying the harness design.
