Steri strips are usually required following suture removal to insure the would remains closed. Steri strips do have an adhesive, but the adhesive is very weak and the steri strip usually falls of within a few hours. This tincture is a sterile adhesive that effectively glues the steri strip to the skin. If the wound surface is clean when this is applied, the steri strip should remain in place for several days, even when showering. The wound should be covered when showering but it's difficult to not get some water on it, so this insures that the strips remain in place. Don't forget to get some of this with your steri strips. It's a bit annoying that you have to spend more to make the steri strips stay in place. It seems they could use a stronger adhesive on the strips to avoid purchasing this.

I am in the medical field and have used similar products in the office but they were different and easy to use. I ordered these believing they would be the same thing I had used before to help adhere steri strips however they are different. They are not inherently user friendly and there are no directions on their proper use which I believe should be a part of any medical supply as using most medical supplies can be dangerous if not used properly,
